The hotel was lovely and very clean. The location was great- lots of stuff was within walking distance. The elevators are very slow and breakfast was very problematic- there was a long wait and then there was literally no food. They said they would bring more but we waited over 45 minutes for them to bring food out. They did have gluten free bread, which was a nice surprise, but it took about 40 minutes to get it.

It was 6:30am I only wanted a coffee and the server asked for my beverage comp card yet coffee is free in the lobby. I did not have a problem paying for it. It was kind of her but she left a family with a child waiting while asking me to look for the comp card on the 19th floor.

This is a beautiful and historic hotel that exemplifies everything you want in a place to stay. Classy but not pretentious, it perfectly balances upscale amentities with a down to earth personality that is unique to Philadelphia. The exterior architecture and interior decor is stunning, the rooms are thoughtful and spotless, and the staff is friendly, helpful, and professional. From the vast public spaces throughout the hotel to the exceptional tilework in the bathrooms, there is always something to appreciate. In addition, the guest access to the Sporting Club takes this experience to a whole other level.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. Located right in the heart of center city, walking distance to so many points of interest in Philly including Old City, Rittenhouse Square and more. The rooms were well appointed, clean and spacious. My only critique is that the restaurant, while beautiful, had subpar food, wine and service. It was nearly empty every night and for good reason. With such close proximity to so many other dining options, it could’ve been so much more. Otherwise, great stay. We would absolutely stay there again.

The hotel is beautiful and luxurious, especially the lobby. The room was tastefully decorated and felt more like an old-world apartment with modern touches. The walk-in closet space was very large, the bathroom was spacious, including the shower area, and the room had adequate seating areas. The bed was comfortable. We were on a high floor, making it very quiet at night. The staff, especially the head of the bell staff, were not only friendly but very helpful. We were, however, disappointed in the breakfast service. It took 45 minutes to serve a simple order, and the staff seemed disorganized. A more extensive buffet offering would be a better option.
