Description
Fantastic & spacious 1st & ground flr aptmnt in medieval hamlet - Muzio, a few mins drive from the wonderful town of Pieve Di Teco.
Historic features & gorgeous furnishings create a special atmosphere. Comfortably slps 6 adults (+ 2 sofa beds) - lrge terrace, garden and lots of space to eat, chill & relax. And a pool to.
The hamlet of Muzio is quiet and sleepy, with the bustling small town of Pieve Di Teco a few mins drive away.
As you enter the narrow street, fork left. You'll go under an archway and pass our entrance door - wooden double door (see pic) nestled there on the right. You can unload there and enter through that door and go up the communal stairs (with a small top flr holiday apmnt) to the entrance to our apmnt.
To park - drive further down the narrow street, and turn right onto our terraced land (see pic), keep going round and you can drive direct into our garden where you can park. It's narrow! if you're worried about that, you can park in the vilage car park and walk up.
You enter the ground flr garden / games room (with sofa bed & a fridge), from the garden / patio. It leads to a large cool double bedroom (sips 2) with a desk, piano, large wardrobe and a door direct out onto the street. A further door leads to communal stairs (share with a small top flr holiday flat) and to the door to the 1st flr of the apmnt.
Inside you will find a fantastic and spacious apartment soaked in sun all day, with gorgeous furnishings and little signs everywhere of its history as a convent.
The master bedroom (Bd 1) has a beautiful vaulted ceiling, with double doors leading onto a Juliet balcony looking out onto the street (not over-looked); it has an oak framed super kingsize bed (sips 2), a large chest of drawers and a large 'reclaimed wood' wardrobe.
The second bedroom (Bd 2) has double doors to a small balcony, large enough to fit 2 chairs to enjoy the fantastic view for that early morning coffee or 'dust buster beer' at the end of the day. A large rug, metal framed double bed (sips 2), chest of draws and chair, give plenty of comfort and storage for 2 people. Leave the shutters open and you have a great view to wake to!
The Lounge has a comfortable double sofa bed which sleeps two. The same quirky vaulted ceilings as some of the other rooms make for a very special atmosphere and we’ve chosen the vintage mirror, fairy lights and chairs to complement it. Books, games, Smart TV player are all in there to.
A very large 1st flr covered terrace is perfect for dining (for 8), sunbathing and chilling out and has plenty of chairs and tables for games, coffee, wine and more.
The Kitchen is new, with dishwasher, convection hob, standard grill and oven and a large dining table; a separate larder also houses a new washing machine/fridge freezer. Plenty of pots and pans, glasses, crockery and cutlery, a set of sharp knives, chopping boards, grater, colander and most importantly a corkscrew!
The bathroom is brand new, has a big shower/wetroom, sink with lit mirror above it, a toilet and plenty of storage space. Beach towels are provided in addition to a set of towels for indoors. The electrically heated hot water tank is huge and has plenty of steaming hot water for lots of showers.
Bedding and Towels are all provided. All mattresses have protective covers for additional comfort.
The private pool (from June - October) is 8m * 3.5m is decked and gated. It has plenty of patio area around it, with 5 comfy loungers, 4 chairs and a table with parasol and a fantastic ‘egg chair’. It’s important to note this is NOT a permanent and tiled pool. It’s an above ground pool sunken into the garden, and has a plastic liner which is kept clean with a natural sand filter and regular maintenance. It’s a great refreshing dip and fun for the kids.
Garden - There's lots of space to spread out and enjoy the sounds of the Italian countryside from our neighbours working dogs echoing across the hills to water running in the idyllic stream, which is a few minutes walk away and amazing to paddle in. There are various bits of garden furniture, including loungers. There's a plum tree, cherry trees, and a Bay tree (great for cooking with) in the garden. There are fantastic views down the valley and hillside opposite and a fence and beautiful Olliander bushes separate our garden from our friendly neighbours on one side. To the other side of the garden is an impressive abandoned old stone villa which adds to the atmosphere of the whole place.
Guest access
The place is yours and yours alone (please note the stair between ground and 2st flr are accessed by the small top flr holiday apmnt). You can park in the garden by driving through the village, past our front door, and turning right onto land which we own. It's old terraced land which has grass on it and you can drive on it easily. Follow it round and you'll reach our garden, where you can park and get into house through the groundfloor rooms. The garden adjoins our friendly next door neighbours and you will see and hear them from time to time.
