My overall stay at Playa Encantada Hotel was decent, and I enjoyed the location, it is right next to the ADO bus terminal. However, I was slightly disappointed with some aspects of the service. One issue was that the hotel provided only cold or room-temperature water for showers, despite it being advertised otherwise. This meant I had to deal with cold showers every day, which was uncomfortable, especially during cooler evenings. Additionally, the water flow was not strong, which made showering take longer. When I asked for a cup or glass to use with the water dispenser, I was told none were provided, so I had to bring my own. Moreover, when I requested repairs for the cold water and other amenities, I often felt like I was asking for favors rather than receiving standard service, even though I was paying for it. It also took more than half a day/next day to get basic necessities like toilet paper, clean towels and shampoos, as the front desk couldn’t help and I had to wait for the cleaning staff to provide them. Overall, while the experience wasn’t terrible, these issues, along with a lack of transparency about what was offered, did impact my comfort during my stay.
