Excellent staff - as soon as you arrive the staff make you feel special and appreciated - Antonio Manuel the porter welcomed us with a great smile and conversation; Carol at reception kindly gave us a room with a beautiful view of the ocean; Gabriella from housekeeping gave us everything we needed with warmth and kindness, Jose Manuel the activities manager was so attentive and generous with his time and advice, and even played pickleball with us; Jose Antonio from the groundskeeping service gave us coconuts he cut from the trees, Julio from security made extra effort to make us comfortable on the beach and around the pool; Tatiana and Douglas at the restaurant attended to our every request, and even surprised us with special treats; and Elias the pool bartender who was a great conversationalist and sang karaoke salsa songs like a professional. It was as if each one had the attitude "what more can I do to make you happy?" Scott the manager meets with each guest at breakfast to make sure they are happy. Food quality was exceptional - truly gourmet quality. The music performers at the upstairs restaurant were outstanding-especially the one on Monday night, 25 Oct. For a beach with no waves and pristine waters go to Playa Brasilito about 7 km away and then walk for about 15 minutes to Playa Conchal where the waters are pristinely clear, there are virtually no waves, and the beach is covered with seashells (hence the name conchal).
