Arrived to check in, desk host was on her cell phone. Didn't look up to make eye contact with a welcome. I said, "Hello" and she finally looked up. Asked if I could check in. She replied, "check in as at 4." I asked if we could check in early since we woke up at 4am for a swim meet down the road. We wanted to get some sleep before the next race. She said there was a room ready and checked us in. I asked where the room was and she said, "down the hall and to the left or right... there will be a sign." We found our room, my daughter and I went to sleep. We were suddenly surprised by a man with an activated key card to our room tried to come in. I had the extra room safety thing on so he didnt make it all the way in but he tried twice, getting the door cracked open. We had the No Thank You sign hung up. Scared the hell out of both of us. Didnt knock or anything just tried to come in twice. I jumped up and opened the door. It was a security guard and a man. The desk person had given us someone elses room and when they returned, she gave them new room keys to the room she JUST gave us less than an hour ago. Security guard was apologetic and had us stay in that room and got the man a different room. It was very unsetteling and no one slept well that night.
We also wanted to use the pull out sofa bed but there was no bedding for it.
Being a Hilton Honors guest, I expected better. Would appreciate a comped night for the fright it gave us.
