Guest House Duoro is a very nice place to stay and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Its proximity to the river and numerous restaurants was also a real plus. Breakfast was terrific too. My only nit pick critique is that it would have been nice to have a couple of glasses in the bathroom to make it easier to brush your teeth and rinse.

Our room had an amazing view over the river. Breakfast was great and all the staff were friendly and helpful. It was like staying with good friends. The guest house is located right in the center of the old town, and we walked to all the restaurants, port tastings and other central attractions.

Gem, a real gem

I think this is what an estate agent would call compact and bijoux but what this place lacks in space it more than makes up for in hospitality & quality. The staff are exceptional. Very friendly & so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast, just wow!! Whatever your taste you'll be happy. Last little point, location. Couldn't be better. Right by the river & the beautiful Ponte Luis 1 bridge. There are also some fantastic restaurants within 50m! Stop your search now, you've found what you're looking for! 😁

Desk clerk couldn’t have been more helpful. Showed us an excellent wine bar just around the corner and arranged early morning transport to airport. Room was tiny but immaculate and worked well. Highly recommended.

Little gem on the river

We truly enjoyed our two night stay - our room was super comfortable and clean, ours was on river side with spectacular view! Hugo and staff were very kind, supportive, and very knowledgeable. They would make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Breakfast was spectacular and work of art!! The area is also walkable to all attractions - that comes with one downside: can be noisy at night specially if you are a light sleeper. This is a small botique hotel, rooms are on the smaller side but very well decorated and clean. We would come back!

Love the location! Parking advertised as nearby. Not very convenient. Would like a bit more information about it before booking. There is public parking but not nearby. Otherwise the included breakfast was amazing, the service was wonderful. The room and bed small but very comfortable! Great views.

What a lovely experience! We only stayed on night in Porto, but this property was outstanding! Such friendly and incredible staff, and they brought up our breakfast in the morning. It was so lovely to have breakfast and watch Porto wake up. Night was lively outside the windows- just what we wanted! I highly recommend this hotel, we will be coming back.

Great breakfast, staff and location

Lovely stay during the Sao Joa festival, we watched the fireworks from the bedroom! The breakfast was delightful & staff helped me with storing my bike box and also with organising taxis as a lot of taxis do not go straight to this area. Im sorry I couldnt remember the name of the person who helped us but I want to thank you!
