Good: breakfast €17 pay in hotel/ room size/windows that open/air con/there was kettle,tea coffee and hairdryer. Very clean. Not good: gym looks ok but equipment stiff and not maintained/ on top of a hill, not convenient for metro /buses/ not good views/ only house wine available by the glass/ few local eateries /small lifts / stairs only seemed to go outside for fire escape so had to use lift.

Depending on which room you get, you might have to walk a long hallway on floor 1. There is no elevator in the middle, just on one side. It is only two storey though. I am not too fond of the layout of having bath and toilet with vanity with sink but it is better than having all separate. Not many hooks to hang also. It does have ample USB for charging and pillows and beds are comfortable with turndown service 1st night, chocolate on your pillow when you come back. We stayed an extra night and was given an upgrade but not too much difference between station and river view, because there’s construction around the are right now. But we appreciate the upgrade. Walk to the city center was good, you can explore much and it gets lively at night as there were performers and a stage by the water ( not sure if performances are usually on a Friday ? ) and lots of places to eat. Staff was friendly, they transferred our luggage between the rooms for us while we went out to explore. Have good buffet breakfast.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, as well as in Porto. No complaints whatsoever. The hotel is situated in a nice clean area. Nearest shopping area with a nice mall, including a large supermarket is about five minutes walk away. River douro is about twenty minutes walk away. The hotel is very clean and staff attentive. The drinks and food in the bar were very good and inexpensive. There's also a formal restaurant on lower floor which I never visited. If I return to Porto I will most certainly choose the same hotel or one of its other branches. 10/10.

We originally booked into HF Porto and when we arrived we realised a mistake and we asked would it be possible to move to Ipanema Park 5 mins up the road. The hotel told us yes they would org a refund once we paid in full in the other hotel. Taking them at good faith they would do this we moved and paid in full again their second hotel. One month later and they are still saying they did not say that and that we choose to pay both hotels 5 mins apart for the same dates. AVOID At all costs
