This hotel was central to EVERTHING. We walked almost everywhere, easily. The room was very clean and bed was super comfortable. Highly recommend!

Everything about this hotel was amazing. Great location, the room was fantastic along with the view, the food at their restaurant was superb, and their staff was top notch. I want to give a shout out to the ladies in the breakfast hall, who were sweethearts, asked for me when I fell ill during my trip and prepared a to go breakfast for me. My husband and I really enjoyed the pool and sauna after a whole day of walking. The masseuse was phenomenal and prices were reasonable. There's not 1 bad thing to say, we greatly enjoyed our stay and when we return to Porto we will definitely stay here again.

An absolute gem! We loved our balcony room. Everything was beautifully clean and modern. We appreciated the digital set up in the room for opening the curtains to switching on lights. All very efficient. The pool and spa area were luxurious and beautifully maintained. I swam every day! The roof top bar was lovely for predinner drinks in the late afternoon sunshine. A special mention to the reception staff who were so helpful. They recommended a great restaurant for my husband’s birthday dinner and treated us to sparkling wine and cake in the room. I cannot recommend this lovely hotel highly enough. It is outstanding!

FABULOUS HOTEL

Right from the start - our entry on a wet night was warm and welcoming. We were all offered a glass of Port which was a nice first touch. We were escorted to our rooms and staff showed all the features and how to use ths electronic systems. Nothing was too much trouble. They told us where was the best restaurant in the area (and it was) and we had a great first night. Would definitely go back to this Hotel.

The best thing about Wine & Books Hotel has got to be the friendly and professional staff. The rooms and all the facilities were truly gorgeous, including the pool, and steam room. Our only gripes with the hotel has to do with the "technology". The light switches are confusing and impossible to find in the dark. The "smart tv" has been made dumb by the IT team so that you cannot connect your computer to watch streaming services (and the tv is not required with any streaming apps either). And the wifi is too slow to stream anyway. Having said that, this is a beautiful hotel located in a great area with a phenomenal staff.
