I wouldn’t consider it a unique venue, but the staff was efficient and hospitable and the hotel was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the free parking. The parking lot to hotel elevators was a bit convoluted.

Doritos!?!? That’s your priority

The breakfast is exactly the same as residence inn but just not included. One check in counter computer wasn’t working and the attendant on the working computer, was slowly lining up Doritos as the check in line kept growing.

We stayed there this weekend as we were visiting Rhinebeck. Upon arrival we did not have air conditioning or heat. We were told they were not ready for heat yet. It is mid October in New York. There was only one elevator working. We tried to take the stairs and the alarm went off. Honestly, a hotel guest should be able to have access to walking out of the building by using the stairs. It is not safe not having this ability. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. The bartender at the hotel was very nice and efficient. We did ask for a discount due to the air conditioning and heat, issue with elevator but since we booked through Expedia they did not accommodate. I think the hotel could use a little bit of cleaning in the grout of the lobby and elevator areas.

The parking garage needs a little more lighting at night. The ice machine on the 10th floor did not seem to be working so I ventured to the 8th floor for ice. Would be nice to have hook on the back of the bathroom door. liked that there was bottled water in my room.

Staff greeted me once I walked in. They were very friendly. Rooms are very clean and updated. One of the nicest bathrooms with great water pressure. Plenty of parking. Perfect to walk to Dunkin Donuts & Alex’s Restaurant. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a nice hotel, but IMO it's not a 4-star hotel. The one thing that I dislike about this hotel, and it is the fault of the Hilton brand, is that they installed a thermostat in the rooms that one cannot turn off. And the thermostat is noisy. There is no off feature, so if you want to turn off the thermostat, you have to call the engineer to do that. It appears that Hilton invested in a cheap thermostat system.

Friendly helpful staff, elevator access issues

The cards just don't work in one of those elevators (the right elevator when facing the elevators.) I had to go to the front desk every time I entered the hotel so they could try and get my cards to work in the elevator so I could use the elevator. Sometimes they got the cards working first try, sometimes they couldn't get it working even after the fifth try, but always the cards would fail to let me use the elevator to get to the floor with my room every time I entered the hotel. Those at the front desk said this was not a unique problem, so it wasn't just me, something is just wrong with the card setup in the elevators of this hotel, especially the right elevator. I appreciate the staff's patience in working with my cards every time I entered the building though.
