Inconvenient check-in and minimal comfort. 2 star

Check-in is across town with 1-2 hour impact on your time plus travel cost. Location is near active bar area with louder noises as a result. Closing windows left one warm with no A/C. TV had radio channels but no TV signals - including no antenna based channels. While 'non-smoking', our room had a distinct smoke smell leftover from past. Ants. 150-200 euro deposit.

disappointing

No A/C, very old! Dirty. Bathroom smelled like cigarettes, found used Qtips on the floor. Dishes in the kitchen had dried up stains on them - had to wash everything prior to use. No shampoo, etc. TV has satellite - except the 500 channels are in German. after an hour of clicking through (phone call to hotel was useless) found 3 English news channels. Check in location is not really within walking distance.

Nice Apartment

Stayed with my family (group of 7) for 3 days, good location within walking distance from Bars, mini markets and Wenceslas Square. The apartment had everything we needed in good conditions (WiFi, Kitchen, Refrigerator, Washing Machine etc..). Be aware that you must pick up the keys to the apartment at a different location, but its only 10 minute trip by tram....so should not be a problem if you search for directions in advance. I definitely recommend this place.

Perfect Location + Size

Within 10 minutes you are walking the streets of Old Town. We stayed with another family so there was 4 adults and 3 kids { Two 3 year olds and One 1 Year old }. Total there was eight single beds and two floors. It was more than we were expecting. Not to mention there were two couches that both had pull out beds. My husband and I pushed two twin beds together to make one. There was 1 full bath and one 1/2 bath. Check in was at a different location and we found parking about 2 blocks away. Very quite neighborhood and would recommend it.

Nice area, big apartment bit of a pain that you have to travel to a separate office to check in (10min taxi ride or 45min walk) but overall its great. Would stay there again.

Downtown Residence Apartments, Prague

It is actually an apartment so it is spacious. Travelers need to be aware that there are no amenities at this location. Located in a good area in easy walking distance to major attractions. Pretty good security with plenty of locks. Could easily sleep 6 or 8 people. I was disappointed that there was no safe in the room. The only other complaint is that you had to pick up the keys at a location 20 minutes away by taxi.

The check in location was on the other side of the river. There was no indication when booking the hotel that the check in was in a different part of the city. Also one of the apartments had ants in the bathroom and an electrical problem on the second floor. The location was good for getting to the tram and sights in the city.

If you have another option... dont stay here.

First off... you need to pick up the keys from a place that is about 20 minutes away. And if you do not have your own car, then probably longer. When we finally got to the place, we could not get in with the keys that were provided. After some back and forth phone calls to the "reception" we were told that a cleaning lady locked the door incorrectly, and that they would send a technician to open the door. The technician arrived in the time that was promised (~25 minutes), and gave us an additional key that was not given to us before that opened the doors. So, more than 2 hours after we first arrived, we were finally in our room. The rooms were fairly spacious, and well maintained. Not all then beds were completely made, which was OK for us since there were fewer people than the number of beds in the place. The whole apartment had a distinct smoke smell, probably from the fabric present. For those of you who drive, parking is horrendous. The closest public parking is about a 20 minute walk. Additional note... you better not need extra towels. You need to pick them up from the reception (which is about 25 mins away), or they will be delivered for 15 euros. Overall, we stayed at 2 other places in Prague during our visit, and this place was the WORST. If you have another option, dont stay here.

Watch out - old and manky! Will extort you further

Absolutely dissappointed with the apartment. Pictures portrayed a modern apartment, but couldnt be further from the truth. The smell of urine hits you when you first walk though the main door of the block. The rooms are old and in desperate need of renevation. Booking made for 6 people, there where 7 beds laid but only 3 single duvets, so 3 of us froze the first night.  Not impressed. To top it off the managing hotel have signs all over the apartment explaining fines for all sorts. On checkout the hotel staff tried charging/extorting us of an extra €230. This was questioned and challenged and eventually dropped to €30 for cleaning which we were still reluctant to pay. Hotels.com take this apartment off your website, majorly disappointed.

Since the check-in location is away from the apartment and we didn't notice it until we arrived. Therefore, we got some trouble on the day. Also, the other residents are very noise at night, however, since the office of the hotel is not in the same building, we couldn't able to make a complain. The room was very nice, nice design, tidy, big, very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need.

Great hotel but frustrating mix up with keys.

Apartments in a great location 5 mins from New Town and 10 mins from Old Town. Spacious, clean and had all the amenities you could need. Transfer organised via telephone before the trip was very smooth; our party of ten were met off the plane with no trouble. Only problem was a mix up with the keys whereby we were given the keys to an apartment that already had occupants. This resulted in having to wait two hours so that new keys could be brought to us. Aside from this, would recommend Downtown Residence Apartments.

Downtown Residence Apartments Princa 4

Apartment: A very spacious and clean apartment. But there was a constant cigarette smell that lingered in the air, but this was not too annoying. It was good to have the space we did, rather than couped up in a hotel room (personal choice). We had the apartment on the top floor - fantastic views of the city from the roof windows. The apartment room number was 41. Location was central to all major attractions - we walked everywhere and did not use public transport at all. Pretty much round the corner from Wencelas Square, which then is not that far from the Old Town Square. The River is also within 10 mins walk. Prague is a very beautiful place and you'll not be stuck for anything to do or see. We were there for 3 nights. Food & Drink: Plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes to choose from. Not as cheap as I'd thought it would be, but didn't stop me from enjoying the local cuisine and Pilsner Urquell. Beer/Vodka generally cost around 95 koruna. There is a Tesco nearby should you want to cook in the apartment (which we did - breakfast every morning before we ventured out for the day). Airport Transfers: We arranged this with the apartment owners prior to travelling and were met at the airport by their driver who led out as to a clean modern minibus (just for us). I paid the driver 39 euros in total for the transfer to the apartment and return. Would not hesitate staying here again.

Nice Location

This apartment is old but ok condition. It was clean when we arrived. The kitchen had all necessary plus with washer. It can fit 6 persons. The location is walking distance to downtown. Be sure before you head to the apartments to ask where is headquarter to pick your keys otherwise they will charge 20 Euros for delivery. If you stay longer and need fresh towels they will charge 15 Euros for delivery. I was with my family and we had a good time.

Apartment

We stayed in an apartment in Prague with a river view. It was a wonderful, large place with a kitchen, foyer, 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We were automatically upgraded to this apt. as our smaller apt. had water heater issues so the hotel didn't even bother checking us into that one. The historic building was centuries old so not chic but was very comfortable!

Great Value, Huge Apartment

I stayed hear with 4 girlfriends while on a 4 city mini-tour of Europe. This was by far the largest apartment that we stayed in with plenty of bathrooms and showers. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. The pictures, however, are quite deceiving. While I loved the apartment, some of my friends were disappointed by the fact that it was a bit old and dingy. I thought it had character. A few issues that may cause concern for some: one of the bedrooms and bathrooms reaked of cigarette smoke. The smoke came in through a vent, so if this is going to cause issues, this may not be the apartment for you. Also, there is a great kitchen provided with a huge dining room table. When we first came in, we envisioned saving a bit of money and cooking at home. However, the refrigerators do not work and in fact when the larger one is opened, you may find yourself running to the bathroom as it smells as if something died in there. Other than that, though, the apartment is great for large groups. There were only five of us total, but there were 9 beds and two couches. Great deal!!

superb nice penthouse in oldtown...

it was a great experience to stay in this hotel, everything is just nearby and within walking distance...just beware that the check in office is located in another place, u have to go there to collect your keys before u go to the apartment directly.

Sentralt og romslig!

Passer bra for venneturer,store rom, alt som skal til for en konge gutte- eller jenterur! Det eneste negative vi har å tilføye er at det ikke var tydelig hvor vi skulle hente ut nøkkelen og at det var litt peoblemer å finne ut av det, men ellers er alle 20 som var med steålende fornøyd med oppholdet! :-D

Stor og rummelig lejlighed med central placering

En virkelig central beliggende lejlighed. Tæt på centrum, tæt på sporvogn og metro. Lejligheden var stor og der var separat soveværelse og eget køkken. Skrå vægge men med bjælker, der var med til at gøre den hyggelig. Gratis Wifi Utrolig flot dekoreret indgang og opgang, der dog var lidt nedslidt.
