Good but not quite there

Friendly and hospitable staff but a few niggles with the hotel itself. No air conditioning in the rooms, windows not soundproofed (cobbled street outside), shower holder was useless (needed replacing), and too much furniture in the room (room was fairly narrow anyway). Room door handle even came off the door one morning! Otherwise, the hotel was clean, WiFi worked fine in both the room and reception, breakfast was ok to get you going for the day, and it was in a great location for the Metro/tram routes.

Hotel conveniently situated to Prague centre

Hotel ideally situated in Prague centre. Easy access to the tram & underground network. Hotel restaurant presently closed for refurbishment but good choice of restaurants or bars within a 10/15 mins walk from Hotel. Breakfast is buffet style with good choice of food together with tea, coffee or choice of juices etc.and provides a good start to the day. Reception very friendly and a warm welcome made. Car parking over night is available at the hotel for a small extra charge & suggest payment made in local czech currency . WiFi available throughout and good reception in my room Bank cash machine available 5mins from hotel.

...and the bell tower outside the hotel whilst charming at the start becomes annoyingly constant noise. quality double glazing there is not.

Close to all must-see sights

The hotel rooms do not have air conditioning which is a problem during the hot European summer and the quality of housekeeping is mediocre at best but the staff are friendly.

You get what you pay for

There was complimentary wifi and included breakfast which was good. Location is not too bad. But I went there during summer time and I was sad to find out that there wasn't any air conditioning. I also requested a non smoking room and every time I came back to my room, it always smelled like cigarettes. Its also a good idea to have earplugs cause the church bells ring out through the night and there is always some guys in the neighbourhood arguing at the top of their lungs while I'm trying to sleep. In saying this, I only was in my room just to sleep and shower. I expected a bit more from a 4* hotel. You get what you pay for.

Central, cheap, but wouldn't be my first choice

Been here while attending a conference. The hotel is very central and locates in a quiet, but safe looking, street near a nice church (whose bell strikes the quarters and the hours, included at night, which is not a problem as they have good windows). The personnel was very nice and helpful, but the structure could need some refurbishment. Unfortunately, a couple of dubious stains on the bedspread left me wondering about cleanliness. The breakfast was very minimal, too.

Very hot.

I arrived at the hotel to find out they had no air conditioning in the rooms. I asked the woman at the front desk about a fan and she said it was in my room. I looked for it and there was none asked if she had any spare fans she said no and too bad. The hotel says they have wi fi, thats a lie. I asked the same woman at the front desk and she told me to look for the signal on another floor. So on 2 very hot prague nights without air conditioning and no wifi, we had very bad nights sleep! The city is beautiful but this hotel was a nightmare.

Service not good

1. One of the reception clerks was horrible. He obviously is not too capable. He took almost 30 minutes to process a checkout because he was having trouble doing the math. And he couldn't multi-task. He rudely disregarded any quick questions others in the line wanted to ask, probably afraid he would make a mistake handling simple math (the guest was trying to pay her bill using leftover Czech Krone notes, leftover Euro notes, and the balance by credit card). Obiously, the front desk is usually understaffed, both in numbers and in mental ability. 2. One day, we weren't given any towels, and the ones we were finally given had holes in them. 3. The hotel has no airconditioning. While this lack was not particularly irritating at the time of our stay, it should be noted in the Expedia summary of hotel facilities, as this may be very important in the summer months.

Great location, kind of noisy

I really liked this hotel. The price was great. The staff was lovely, friendly and helpful. The location was ideal: walk to train station, Jewish quarter, Town square, Charles Bridge. Breakfast was included and really good: yogurt, meusli, cheese, salami, ham, bread, fruit, eggs, coffee, tea, juice. The only problem I found was the rooms have really thin walls and the low price attracts young people who make a lot of noise late into the night. There was some kind of industrial loading activity in the lot behind the hotel that caused thunderous banging late in the night as well. Bring ear plugs. Cigarette smoke from the room next to mine came into my room. The windows are enourmous, and so the smoke cleared out quickly, and the frosty air was refreshing. Aside from the noise and smoke, I would probably stay there again, with ear plugs.

The hotel and room were clean, customer service was good, buffet breakfast was also good value for money, and I have no complaint. 5 min walk to the centre where you can find restaurants/clubs/cabaret, good location and overall totally satisfied.

My fiance and i recently stayed at Best Western Hotel Bila Labut and it did not disappoint it was by far the best hotel i have ever stayed in. Great location for all transport links, shopping, restaurants and bars. The staff at the hotel were so pleasant and did not hesitate to help at any opportunity that would arise. It was like a home away from home as i felt […] very welcome and very safe in the hotel as they have fantastic security. I will definitely will be going back again and any other place i visit i will be looking out for this hotel chain as i wouldn't want to stay anywhere else again!!!

Cheap digs in central Prague, close to Metro

Staff: very friendly, good to passable English. Substantial breakfast included. Substandard mattresses and no top sheet, only a down comforter. CNN (Mideast-based and MTV) English TV channels. Very good location in Prague. Staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Bathroom adequate. A little noisy (night garbage trucks; church bell tower). Bring ear plugs. Clock radio hard to figure out. One day a computer glitch caused the wake-up call system to fail. Overall, I would go back, but you get what you pay for, and it's definitely NOT a 4**** hotel. Didn't use jacuzzi, gym and spa (all cost more), neither did I avail myself of massage.

Average hotel

This hotel was a bit further than we expected from the town center, about a 20 minute walk. The neighborhood is very quiet and desolate. We had some troubles with the room, light bulbs burned out and not replaced, broken toilet (but quickly repaired) and other minor issues. The valet car park service was excellent and made check-in extremely convenient with no hassles. The restaurant was very accommodating with our small child.

close to everything

This hotel was very clean & close to sights. We were able to walk all over prague without having to use the metro or tram system, that was our choice though. The breakfast was good, had lots of variety & the service at the hotel was good. All people spoke english. I was very satisfied with this hotel.
