We recently stayed at Occidental Caribe to celebrate my mom’s 50th birthday, and I cannot say enough good things. This was our second visit—we first came 6 years ago for my brother’s graduation and had such a great time, we knew we had to return. We were a group of 16, from a 1-year-old to grandparents, and the staff went above and beyond from the moment we arrived. Juan and Jose helped us settle in, responded instantly to any request, and checked on us daily. For my mom’s birthday, they surprised her with champagne at the pool, decorated the hibachi restaurant, brought out a cake, and even gifted her a massage. They truly made her day unforgettable. We also had a gluten-free guest, and they ensured all restaurants accommodated her needs. Huge thanks to Maria Montes and Nilson Herrera in the buffet hall—Nilson even remembered us from 6 years ago! They greeted us daily with smiles and hugs, saved space for our big group every morning, and treated our kids like their own. Occidental Caribe made us feel like family. We highly recommend this resort and can’t wait to come back!

Empleados, facilidad y comida súper, única quejita estuve 1 semana la cual primer día me ofrecieron ir a conocer en Occidental punta cana aceptó segun por un regalo y botella Barceló la cual nunca recibí todos los días preguntaba y me decían que tenían que buscar en el almacén. Siento que perdí medio día al otro hotel para nada solo salió ganando el empleado que nos envió para allá. Tenía otra opción cambiarnos por el voucher de masaje y tampoco

En la noche en todos ladps salia un olor a escremento, lo empleados si no le das propina no te atienden ,la comoda malisima. En lo restaurant tienes q pedir una sola cosa en el menu sie do un all inclusive, todo el piso resbalaba pareceia q no lo limpoaba todo rebalaba en una ocacion queria hacer una reservacion para un rest japones y me dijeron que no habia espacio pero si le daba una propina me hacia un acomode de verdad q fue bien incomoda mi estadia adici9 al el cuarto apesraba a humeumedad de verdad q nunca voy a volver a ese hotel fue una super mala experiencia no tan solo para mi para mi exposa q fue quien queria q fueramos a ese hotel para celebrar mi cumple años

I chose this resort because it’s part of the Occidental brand. Overall, the property is dated and shows signs of wear, but most amenities are still functional. The upside is that the price is relatively affordable, so expectations should be set accordingly—you get good value, but don’t expect luxury. The highlight of our stay was our butler, Juan Carlos. He was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our experience better. His service really elevated our trip and left a lasting impression.

I had a terrible experience. My bathroom flooded 3 times, I went to take a shower and as I walked into the bathroom i stepped into a puddle of toilet water they came to "fix the toilet" and it happened again and again, the third time they came to "fix it" they had to unhook the toilet, and they sat it in the shower come to find out a vape was stuck in the toilet. even after they did that it continued to flood. I requested s new room and didn't get it, I feel like I should be compensated I was not satisfied at all during my stay here. I have videos and pictures of everything and the night before I left, I woke up around 2am to use the restroom and it was flooded Maintenace came to "fix it" but told me I had to wait because it was a plumbing issue. The issue was never resolved from the first incident the only thing they did was had housekeeping come mop up the water. Terrible experience. None of my needs were met.
