Beach was beautiful! But people were allowed to leave their towels all day to save chairs. Hotel was clean and staff was seen mopping and wiping all day. The staff make this hotel what it is. Everyone was so attentive! And except for directly at the bar the service was fast. The reason this hotel is a 7.5 out of 10 for us was the food. Three of the five included restaurants were closed. No explanation just closed. The other two were booked solid until late night the last night. The buffet was always available but the options were the same lunch and dinner every day. There would be one or two items new but the majority was the same. Also if you like seafood, this hotel only does fish and calamari and sometimes shrimp. No crab, lobster, oysters etc. The staff and beach made this trip for us. Although tipping is optional everyone should tip the staff as much as they can because they work incredibly hard to make sure you’re having a good time!

To start, if you can, try to book and pay here online in advance. If you pay at the resort, they’ll “convert” your dollars just to charge you in dollars again — which makes no sense. Because of that, our room ended up much more expensive. My two-night reservation was supposed to be $320, but I ended up paying around $623.80 at the front desk only for 2 people. To continue, we were a family of 6 adults and 2 little girls, and honestly, the resort left us with mixed feelings. The negatives: The facilities were very basic, nothing impressive. The staff at the beach bar often seemed in a bad mood. The power went out the very first night we arrived. The air conditioning didn’t cool properly. All four rooms we booked had a strong musty, moldy smell. The food was average at best, with little variety or quality. The Mexican restaurant was a big disappointment — the food was terrible. The sports bar near the reception needs urgent attention; the rotten smell there is alarming. The positives: The staff at the El Pilón buffet restaurant were very kind and attentive. The pools were pleasant and clean. The beach was well maintained. The DJ and nightly shows were fantastic — fun, lively, and well organized. Overall, it’s not a resort I would recommend 100%. The maintenance and service issues outweighed the good moments, though I do appreciate the friendliness of the restaurant staff and the great entertainment at night.

The WiFi was horrible. The food was absolutely disgusting. The drinks were pretty good. The staff were nice. Went to the sports bar. Nobody took my order for almost 15 minutes. Never staying at this resort again. A complete waste of money.

From the start, my room wasn’t ready at check-in and there were no towels available. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, and despite multiple complaints, staff refused to send maintenance or address the issue, claiming the system was working normally. In reality, it doesn’t provide real cold air—it blows cool air for a few minutes, then switches to fan mode, leaving the room warm and uncomfortable.

The resort is really nice! The room was nice and clean the air conditioning worked great! Everything was really nice until the weekend came and a lot of people checked in, with people that didn’t respect anyone, with kids that were not nice. It was hard to get food, or drink. I wish I knew about the weekend being busy and I would had planned the swimming with dolphins or activities outside the resort those days

I'm not even sure where to begin. This was probably the worst resort I've been to. First thing is we got a room with a bunk bed for the kids. The room didn't have hot water so we started our time unintentionally having to shower our 1 and 3 year old in cold water. Then we discovered the back sliding door couldn't lock and the room was on the ground floor so anyone could get in. The final straw was my child was turning the light over the bunk bed and the entire light fixture came out of the wall exposing electrical wires. I couldn't risk the safety concerns so I walked all the way to the front desk and asked to change the room. I asked the speak with a manager and the guy at the front desk had such a dismissive sassy "oh you want a manager?" He understood the concerns were serious and gave us another room. That room has also hot water issues and the shower flooded quickly backing up into the room. Luckily that room has a second shower and that worked alright so we managed. The food was almost entirely poor. I would say I'm easy to please but you know it's bad when it's commentary of all the guests. The Japanese and Italian reservation only restaurants were enjoyable. The Mexican reservation restaurant was really bad, my veggies were still frozen and we heard the Brazilian steakhouse had a lot of sausage (like the buffet) and pork but no steak lol.
