Amazing location right in the old Quebec City! Exactly where we wanted to be as a tourist. There is no street parking so don't stay outside the town and drive in. Just stay in the old town.
The hotel did suggest a parking garage for us to use which was very close. I wasn't aware there was sooooo many steps in the hotel. Room 28 was rough for me. No elevators. Place run down but it is in a historic area. Railings seemed fragile to me. Cannot be the location!!!
The place is very affordable and convenient to all the restaurants and historic places. Hotel room is clean. However, it’s an old building and very compact space. For the price in this area, I think it’s a good deal.
This hotel is in a great area with good beds and sheets. The manager of this hotel should be on site evaluating the conditions of the hotel. Hallways need vacuuming, carpet needs replacing, paint peeling, the floor laminate board was lifted in our room and tile missing in the bathroom. We did not have hot water and the air-conditioning shut off after 10 pm on a hot day. There is a detector halfway plugged into the hall on the floor (safety concern). I enjoy staying in old hotels and expect some issues but I’ve never experienced anything like this. Yes, the walls are thin but rooms that don’t have a bathroom opening and closing the locks on their doors every time they go to the bathroom at night is loud. Hospitality goes a long way in mitigating some of the inconveniences of an old hotel. This was lacking in this facility. They had a coffee pot, but it was not put on till after 9 o’clock. There’s a sign that says cream is in the fridge, but that was not there three out of the four days we were there. There was a container for tea, but no tea in . A shout out to one of the receptionist who really tried hard and was very friendly. The price we paid through Expedia was much higher than they were charging for “walk ins” which has never happened to me before.

We liked that the location was great. Close to everything downtown.
It was noisy!
Historic property with no elevator and the most dangerous stairs I have ever experienced. No bell boy, no maintenance broken things all over.
Tv in room but nothing to watch. Multiple level changes on the floor causing trip hazards, even near stair…so dangerous. They said there would be coffee in the morning there was none. I would have given no stars but the location was area The owner an Asian man was very preoccupied with his phone while working the front desk. He was incredibly unhelpful. This room was 169 per nice. Could have found a better place for that money.

Citadel, Chateau Frontenac , many restaurants, cruise port all within general walking distance (can you walk a km, uphill and downhill)
Rooms tiny, small staircase.
Excellent location, felt safe
This place is right in the heart of old Quebec. We could see the Chateau Frontenac outside our window. Basic accommodations, we had a shared bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Great for budget travellers who just want a clean, quiet place to lay their head. I would definitely stay here again!
I was not told that I need to ask for extra linens and towels or to clean my room when checking in. They have a very small sign near the stairs that states this, but it needs to be pointed out when checking in so that the guest is aware. I was left without a clean room and towels.

It was good, but not very clean. Our room and washroom were dusty. The price corresponds to the quality of the room
the stairs are too narrow and stiff, not safe especially going up and down with luggage. We were provided with 2 old bathroom towels, 1 with stain and 1 with 2 big holes. The staff are not friendly at all
