First of all, we had no idea we were supposed to get sparkling wine and an upgrade. This was not mentioned or offered to us. Front desk personnel were helpful, but they were students from France who didn't know the area, not ideal for informing guests. Breakfast was not included and with only 6 breakfast choices all at CAN $23 without a beverage, we opted not to eat there. You can't even just order a coffee or some eggs a la carte. Shower was extremely difficult to operate with two complicated knobs and an impractical cubicle with no door. Bed was ok but on the firm side. The area is good for walking to area attractions. I would not stay here again. It supposedly has 4 stars but it feels more like a 3 star.

The front desk reception person who was working Tuesday evening, on our arrival, and again on Wednesday afternoon/evening (sorry. Didn’t get his name) is a great representative for the hotel. Helpful, knowledgeable, pleasant and good humoured. The room was clean and spacious.

In general a nice hotel. Good location and easy to walk most places. Breakfast was good, and the one dinner we had was also good. We had one server who provided excellent service for breakfast, the others were mediocre. Same with the front desk - the staff member who checked us in was excellent, otherwise staff were mediocre (we asked for extra towels and never received). The rooms were lovely, and loved the heated floor in the bathroom.

Clean room, complimentary sparkling wine and excellent breakfast. Windows are outdated and allowing cold air and noise from busy boulevard intersection. Staff refused to move me to rooms away from boulevard unless I paid double.
