Upon check in, Sally the owner was there to greet us with warm & genuine enthusiasm. The rooms were large and spacious although a ceiling fan would’ve been great. The female shared bathroom were huge and recently renovated. Beds had mattress topper & I slept like a baby even in the 32 degree night. Has a cafe & restaurant with delicious offerings with avail to do room service. Even had carafes of fresh water on the landing for guests & small kitchenette if u wanted to use.right in the heart of town within walking distance to beach, jetty and rail. Would definitely recommend. Thank you, Kim barcellona
Great position but terrible room - boiling hot night with only a fan to cool room. Whilst appreciating its heritage listing, this room is not fit to rent out in its current form - also badly overpriced.

Convenient location, got what we paid for but needs air conditioning. The fan was broken and bed light (only one for double) not working. Reminded us of a backpacker's accomm.
Loved the style of an old-world Hotel, sitting outside on a balmy summer evening with my wife and other guests combined with great food and wine made for a highly enjoyable stay. Sally and Chris went out of their way to provide excellent genuine hospitality

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Liked that it was in close proximity to everything.
Our room could have been cleaner, there were moths inside.
Felt a bit uncomfortable with the shared bathroom.
Otherwise, a safe and quite place to stay and within walking distance to everything

The location and building are outstanding, especially as everything was within walking distance. Parking was easy too. It was a shame that the little things were missing...milk for the tea and coffee, clean cups and spoons, enough toilet paper for the bathroom and water pressure for the shower.
Rooms are small but enough for one night. There is not a kitchen just a kettle with tea. Kettle is in the room as well. To get water and wash your cup you have to go to toilet.
Too expensive for what you get, but hotel looks nice. It's like it says an old building.
Wasn't expecting too much since it was kind of cheap but the mattress was really bad, men's bathroom was bit dirty and afterall, $125 felt too much for what we got. I wouldn't expend too long in this place, but for an overnight stay, it'd do it
Property is old and beautiful, but needs a lot of improvements. There was no staff available during our stay. Men’s bathroom was awkward with doors not locking properly and female bathroom was remodeled but the shower pressure was poor in one stall. The entire place was dark and dreary with musty smells. The place would benefit from a complete remodel.
