Good news: The staff was friendly. The room was fine — not great, not bad, but fine. The hotel is a very short drive from I-85. Traveling from this hotel to Duke University, Durham’s Ninth Street neighborhood, downtown Durham and Chapel Hill is relatively simple if there is no traffic. (That’s a big if during rush hour.) Bad news: People were hanging out in the parking lot and on the outdoor staircases at nighttime. This may make travelers with young children or single travelers uncomfortable. In a similar vein, during a pair of early-morning walks, I noticed a number of unhoused people in the nearby area. Bottom line: I would probably not stay at this property again.

The front cashier was rude. I told housekeeping I didn't need anything and they still attempted to come in my room. I had do not disturb on the door and they still disturbed me.

They light up the parking lot really well at night which made us feel safer getting from car to hotel and reduce the possibility of break ins. Beds were not the most comfortable and were squeaky. We arrived late and left early so the price, it worked for what we needed it for.

When I arrived at the hotel when I walked in the office, they didn't acknowledge me. The room where the bathroom was filthy. The tub had a permit yellow ring had a yellow ring, water stains on the wall, mildew around the grout mildew in the toilet, and I have respiratory problems. I was definitely unsatisfied and up for the whole weekend.
