The outside may not look like that great but it was honestly the best and biggest room we stayed at in Iceland. Staff was super helpful and had transportation to the airport.

Old army base hotel.

First impressions is there is no formal lobby area so it is very confusing as to where to check in. Check in time is 3pm the staff let us check in at 1pm which was lovely. We were able to stash our things in an unsecured location behind the front desk. Bed and room and bathroom were clean. No options for tv other than YouTube. Bring your own password for Netflix if you want to watch anything. One last thing: no elevators and there are three floors so you need to carry your own bags up three flights of stairs.

This was an old building so we saw some dusts in the room. It looked like the room wasn't vacuum thoroughly. The bathroom was big and clean. My bathroom door handle came out when I was about the close the door. I think the screw got loose. They should check so the guests would not be locked in.

Nice stay close airport

Great stay for one night if you want to be close to airport. Great staff, clean room and bathroom. Remember it was a military barracks so small rooms. If you were former enlisted you will understand. Also walking distance to get food. Will stay again since close to airport and shuttle service.

Stayed because it was only reasonable property available that day near the airport. The thinnest walls, no hair dryer, wimpy towels. Beds were miserable, difficult to get into.

What we needed, getting there was a hastle.

While the prices were high for what you get, the prices are high everywhere in Iceland. The only real disappointment was getting to the hotel. Taxi's quoted $100 USD to go 6 km from the airport to the hotel for a 1-night layover. We decided to walk it instead with our suitcases. A shuttle service to go to the airport the next morning was available for 10 euro's per person... why not to get to the hotel!

Staff were extremely curt when checking, almost to the point of being rude one would say. Hotel was extremely bare for the exorbinant price. TV didn't even have cable of any kind. Bathroom was quite nice though

Great room and location

I was not expecting this to be a former US military base and we were a bit surprised when we drove up. But once we checked it we were very pleased. It was clean, spacious, and the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. The location was also great. I would definitely stay here again.

Outside of building was very unkept, felt unsafe. Hotel is a hostel-hotel, this is not advertised. The beds in our room did not have a bottom sheet, only a mattress protector. Staff was very rude and argumentative when sheets were requested. Hotel rooms themselves were very clean.
