Excellent modern hotel that was very clean. I had a 5th floor room which was very quiet. Staff was very friendly and helped me book bus transport to the airport. The restaurant and bakery were very good. It was very convenient....just a 5-10 minute walk to the main shopping district, and it was right across the street from Bus Stop 4, a pick up spot for the airport and tour buses. I would definitely stay here again.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel! My partner and I arrived really early after our flight, fully prepared to just drop our bags and head out. To our surprise, the staff went above and beyond and found a room for us right away so we could check in early. ​We also loved the cool bakery and burger restaurant inside the building. We highly recommend this hotel!

The room was well appointed , however will be excellent with better lights and lighter color paint, the lighting feels insufficient mostly by bathroom mirror. Our room located by the Trigvadata road was affected by traffic noise.

Loved staying here - it was a great spot in city center, walkable to everything from food, sights, shopping. The room and bed was very comfortable and staff was helpful. We would stay here again.

We had such a wonderful experience with the Exeter. The staff was incredibly helpful, nice and gracious, before and during our trip. Excellent communication. They went above and beyond. One of the front desk staff members emailed me a hike & hot spring day trip which we did. It was amazing, albeit VERY difficult - not for the faint of heart. The breakfast was good & plentiful. The gym is small and limited but sufficed. Pretty warm down there.

Great moderately priced downtown hotel!

We had a great stay at the Exeter Hotel! The staff service was above and beyond every single day. We were always greeted with bright smiles and attempts to help or discuss your country. In some ways, they are at the front lines to "sell" Iceland. We loved that the lounge always had coffee. We loved the bakery connected to the hotel. I have to say, I wish that every hotel had a cafe like that. Every morning regardless of breakfast, we had access to a quick meal, fresh donuts and lunch to go! The one negative was the gym as the machine you have is, for the most part, unusable. However, there were weights and that worked just fine. The room was comfy and provided everything we needed. We loved that you've set up a "greenhouse" in the lobby as it was a nice quiet place to read. And, of course, the location of the hotel was fantastic!!

The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. They made our stay lovely. We recommend getting bagels and donuts from the bakery in the front and eating them in the little greenhouse in the courtyard. The area was touristy but really convenient and fun.
