Very large room with breathtaking views. The drive away from the city is well worth the stay. Unique property with stunning Northern Light views both nights we stayed. Amazing!
We loved our stay. It was nice to be out of town and in such a quiet setting following a long overnight flight. The hot tubs and sauna were super relaxing.
Nice property- strange bathroom with no shower curtain or shower door so water got all over the bathroom kind of dangerous. Overall though beautiful view, comfortable room
Literally couldn’t get any tv channels. Normally wouldn’t be an issue on vacation, but this was our last night before an early flight (why we switched up and just spent one night closer to the airport) and was really annoying. No staff available. Restaurant not open. I should have also researched to see how far it was from other food options too. Also the thrill felt like a sterile hospital bathroom. At least that part was clean, but not homey in any way whatsoever. Parking also sucked. Would never stay here again and felt like we wasted money.
This was such a unique hotel and is located in such a beautiful location, at the edge of Reykjavik. It was cloudy during my time there, but I can only imagine how beautiful it must be with the Northern Lights.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
10/10 would recommend to anyone! We even had a random cat come in our window which the kids loved!
Cabin was neat but not super clean (dusty chairs, etc). Parking was easy. Using the amenities at the property was easy, and the hot tubs and sauna were well-maintained. Water at the property smelled strongly of sulfur.
Overall, loved staying here and would still recommend it. But expect that the amenities and view are the highlight of the property rather than the room.
Really liked the uniqueness and charm of this hotel. The room was spacious, the views of the ocean was beautiful, and we even got to enjoy the sauna during our stay. The only issue was that there was no hot water for a short duration of our stay, and the hotel did inform us that the utility company would be working on the water that day. Also, the pedestal sink in the bathroom was so tiny, that when the water was on high, it would shoot out of the sink and onto the floor. The placement of the soap dispenser also made it hard to wash much in the sink due to the small size. Overall, I enjoyed staying here and would love to come back with my kids and grandkids.
We had a large 1 bedroom. Front door and back door. It had a nice updated bathroom with a large shower. The living room was furnished with a sofa and chair. Also a small refrigerator. There's a hairdyer, kettle and toiletries. It is approx. 15 minutes from Reykjavik. Out on a point with ocean views surrounding the place. Even dark enough to see the northern lights. I can't say enough. We loved it!
The room was clean, the staff was helpful. The view was wonderful! There was parking right outside our door.
The location was quiet and secluded. The only cons were a leaky bathroom faucet and construction in the area made it a bit difficult to get to. The whole village was very picturesque. A very relaxing location.
