After 2 weeks in Iceland, this was our favorite multi-room stay. Our rook had its own sink, mirror, table, and wall cubbies and a power strip by the bed! Showers were convenient and cabinets in kitchen all labeled. Staff was very welcoming and kind. They went out of their way helping us figure out a package that we had sent. Overall - Loved this place and would stay again if we make it back to Iceland!

I appreciated that the instructions for self check in was clear and easy to follow. The property, although old, was clean. It’s close to downtown Reykjavik and about a 10-15 minute to the BSI terminal to take the Fly Bus. It was easy to walk a few minutes to find food/grocery.

Great location - close to downtown Reykjavik and lots of restaurants as well as close to grocery stores. We enjoyed the unit we had with the full kitchen and living room. Nice and spacious for our 2 night stay. Loved the cat who visited!! We walked to the Pond and other areas. Parking was on the street in front. They need to make where the check in area is more visible. Some people thought our apartment was check in! Great staff as we had a burnt out bulb - very quick in responding. Easy check in. Would highly recommend this place!!

Positives: Arrived early and allowed access to room immediately. One pillow, one blanket provided, one bath and hand towel. Kitchen was available and functional. Negatives: arrived to main property and was sent to another property around the corner. Limited amenities, no tea or coffee as expected. Breakfast was offered only in the main building and was not given information on how to access it. Shower and toilet were leaking all over the floor and the bathroom was not clean. Local water was sulfuric and not drinkable.

We paid $160 with private bathroom, which is not cheap, the interior is clean and decent but lacking of amenities such as no hanger, closet or space for you to put out luggages. No shampoo, shower gel. It earned extra star for commute laundry and close to downtown. Exterior is looking beat up real bad, and Parking is on the street not on site which security is concerned. If you don’t mind these condition for a convenient location close to town, but we wouldn’t want to stay her again. There are some cheaper rooms with share bathroom which more like hostel than hotel.

Igdlo Guesthouse was exactly what we expected. Good location, friendly staff and a decent place to sleep for the night. Very basic room with bed, desk, closet and sink. The separate WC/Shower was very clean and convenient as well. Would stay again for a night or two in Reykjavik!

Because we arrived late, had excursions and departed the last day early, had no interaction with staff. However, the access instructions were clear. Guesthouse is a 10 minute walk to the BSL bus terminal. Single room was clean, small but practical. The bathroom outside needs to updated a bit. Overal, it served my pourposes.

This is the best "budget" option by far. Very helpfull, friendly staff, great kitchen to use, quiet and clean rooms, nice garden area and walking distance to downtown/shops/Museums Coffee and tea is free and for 5 Euro there is a buffet style breakfast, which is great. Furniture is a bit "vintage", but everything is very clean, comfortable and practical. My go-to-guesthouse whenever I go to Reykjavic.
