Perfect home from home

This is not a conventional hotel, it is a set of separate properties within an area. On arriving at the reception you find out what property you got - this can be some distance away! When we arrived it was snowing quite hard, so slogging over to the property was a bit of a pain. However, on arrival all was forgiven. A beautiful apartment in a lovely building. Clean, spacious and well equipped. Underfloor heating (thanks to Icelandic geothermal heating!) made it very cosy. Every afternoon a selection of charcuterie, cheese, fruit and yogurt is left in the fridge, ready for breakfast. Half a loaf of bread, pre-sliced is left on the door in the morning, from the best bakery in the area. Amazing bread! Luxury toiletries from L’occitane were nice surprise. Kitchen well equipped too. Home from home. Honestly cannot fault this accommodation.

It was a really nice property just super hard to find because it’s currently on the side to some major construction. Maybe during this construction extra instructions to finding the hotel would be helpful. Overall it was a beautiful hotel, beautiful area, and very clean.

Really enjoyed our stay in the 2 bedroom unit at this hotel. Access was a bit complicated upon arrival since there is construction on the road where the main lobby is located. Aside from that, everything was great. Excellent value for the money.

Very good stay

Very good stay. We had a jr suite in Artisan House. The various properties are very different so would think experience would differ based on what property they put you in. Location of all are good. Breakfast option is good but you can also walk 5 minutes to bakery and eat there. Their bread is excellent (Sandholt). Reception was helpful when needed.

This place was absolutely fantastic, when I come back to Reykjavik I can’t even imagine trying to stay anywhere else, I don’t think anything could be better. Amazing cleaning staff, the best accommodations I have ever seen, you could spend a week here and be very busy within a 20 minute walking distance every single day.

Hotel site a little confusing due to fact that there are at least 20 Residence hotels but one hotel with lobby and staff. We had difficult finding hotel but manager walked to our Residence hotel
