Upon arrival and after check-in headed to the elevator there was an out of order sign. Staff at the desk “stair are to the left” didn’t offer to help carry my luggage up 3 flights of stairs

Front desk staff was not there. After saying “hello” a few times he appeared. Our keys didn’t work and one woman was visibly crying because she couldn’t get into her room where all her belongings were. Other than that, room was adequate. Breakfast was also pretty bad. Pet fee in email stated $15. but was charged $25. With the right management this hotel could be so much better.

room was not clean, actually saw a couple of small bugs crawling around. Had to ask for towels, only 1 in the room. Shower was a trickle of water with a handheld shower head with no mount. Right by the highway and sounded like the window was open.

I was exhausted when I got there, so didn't complain.... But There were two beds in the room. It was obvious someone had been laying on top of the first one. It was still made, but very disheveled. There were urine droplets on the floor on the bathroom. Someone attempted to come in in the middle of the night. I heard the key lock unlock, but the bar was locked.... And it moved, so someone definitely had a key to the room.

We’ve stayed in this hotel a few times in the last couple years because it is near a restaurant we love to eat at when we are in the area. However, this will be the last time as it has gotten progressively worse each time. Found out at check in that the elevator was not working. Definitely not ideal when one person has a foot injury and another has arthritic knees. The exit door closest to the stairs was being propped open with a rock. That didn’t seem very secure so I kicked it away so the door could close. Turns out it was that way because the key card entry didn't work. Had to walk around to the front to get back in. The second floor where our room was located smelled horribly of pot. Or maybe someone had a skunk masquerading as a dog. Thankfully, it was just the hallway and not also in the room. Check-in was easy, the pet fee can’t be beat, the beds and pillows are reasonably comfortable, and breakfast is what you would typically expect.
