Beds could be less firm. In room coffeemaker would be better. Convenient location. Quiet night. Easy check in/out on App. Convenient Bluetooth key and room controls from iPhone. Overall a good stay.

We love Tru hotels, but unforunately, this one is run down. Our room was good, but there was noticible dirt throughout the public areas, one elevator was out of service, and the other didn't sound very good. While she was responsive, the front desk person hung out at a nearby cubicle on the phone, which I thought was unprofessional. Also, I hope this is not a trend, but breakfast was inferior to other Tru breakfast offerings we had: There was no oatmeal - fresh or packaged, no bagels or English muffins, only white bread. And the coffee was terrible. Not what we have come to expect at Tru hotels.

The hotel was spotless and the staff members were friendly. No concerns with safety, noise, etc. Gym was nice. Breakfast was average. However, my shower did not have hot water on either morning, which was a bummer.

We have stayed at TRU properties many times and this location did not disappoint. Clean, comfortable room. Lots of updates. Lobby inviting. However, the pet fee advertised on EXPEDIA was $50. Followed by a full paragraph explaining the breakdown. We were charged $75. With a very loose explanation of why. This is unacceptable. They should be governed by published agreements advertised in print online. We were shocked and disappointed. We’ll think twice about staying at TRU or trusting information from Expedia is accurate.

Very nice property. Many amenities. Located where I95 can be heard inside the room. The other side of the hotel has a truck stop with over 100 running trucks. Excellent breakfast. Easy access to Richmond.
