Form more important than function...

nice location, lovely friendly and helpful staff and the design is great. But it's vastly overpriced for what it offers. The breakfast is a la carte only (no buffet as advertised somewhere), the outdoor terrace is plagued by wasps when you are eating, the "pool" is little more than a postage stamp, basically unusable (definitely impossible for swimming). And the roof terrace, though cute, is crowded with deckchairs in lines that hardly get any sun due to the shade from nearby massive buildings. It's a good location but a bit noisy if you face the ocean as there are often bands or singers busking there.

Great location and food but small rooms

The hotel is very well located at the end of Ipanema beach with a restaurant that backs onto the beach. The food is very good and reasonably priced but the rooms were on the small side. Reasonable value for money given location

Perfectly located for exploring Ipanema, Leblon, and just a short stroll to Copacabana Beach. The hotel offers great amenities, including an on-site restaurant and a rooftop bar with stunning ocean and beach views. Everything about this hotel was excellent! Great location, amazing food and drink and friendly, helpful staff. I’d highly recommend staying on Ipenema beach over Copacabana, it has a much more chilled out vibe and was a lot cleaner, plus it was only a 5 minute walk around the cove (via the street) if you did want to go to that side. The promenade felt safe to walk along and you could eat breakfast right beside the beach. Don’t look for any other hotels, just book this one!

The service there was gold standard. Everyone was very pleasant, helpful, and as a bonus for us, they all spoke English. The rooms were very clean. The only issue we had was our room was on the smaller side for 2 people. Closet space was tight and no real area to place our luggage where it won’t be in the way of navigating the room. Don’t know if all the rooms are the same size. I’m sure others are larger. All in all, a very good experience.
