Welcome to Cheoah Cottage, a beautifully maintained mountain retreat tucked high above Lake Santeetlah in the peaceful Thunderbird Community. Surrounded by the beauty of the mountains, Cheoah Cottage is ideal for couples, small families, or friends looking for a quiet getaway near Lake Santeetlah, the Tail of the Dragon, and some of Western North Carolina’s most scenic outdoor destinations.

As you enter the cottage, you’ll walk directly into the dining area and kitchen, creating a warm and welcoming first impression. The dining table seats four comfortably and is perfect for meals, morning coffee, or an evening card game after a day exploring the mountains.
The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with beautiful finishes and stainless steel appliances, including a Viking stove, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator/freezer. Whether you're preparing a full dinner or a simple breakfast before heading to the lake, you’ll have everything you need.
Just beyond the kitchen is the cozy living room featuring:

▪︎ Skylights that bring in beautiful natural light
