This single-level home offers a serene getaway just a 5-minute walk from the quiet, south end of Rockaway Beach, near the iconic Twin Rocks. Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy indoor fireplace, and a back room with a sleeper sofa and Roku TV. The front room is TV-free, ideal for game nights or quiet relaxation.

A note from the owner:

I fell in love with MiniHouseHouse on Minnehaha Street when I first saw it several years ago, tucked away a few blocks from the beach. This is a place to leave behind the complications of daily life and enjoy a simpler, less stressful time.

Built in the 1930s when Twin Rocks was developed as a “resort community”, this cottage was constructed with simple materials to provide middle class folks a way to enjoy the coast. It is not the Ritz! It is, however, clean and comfortable with amenities that will make your stay relaxing and fun.

This cottage’s humble furnishings and layout make it easier to distance yourself from the news, work, or whatever is stressing you out. I truly hope you will love it as much as I do!

Entering the house you will pass the picket fence and the welcoming red adirondack chairs. Even on some mild winter days you can enjoy catching the sun out front. The living room has a leather couch, easy chair and woodstove. Perfect for playing cards, reading a good book or doing puzzles on a rainy day in front of a fire. The stove really puts out the heat!.

The house has ample windows which gives it a bright feeling even on a cloudy day. The kitchen is uncomplicated and has what you will need to make pancakes in the morning or spaghetti dinner at night after a fun day hiking, boating, or just relaxing at the beach.

The tiny bathroom is just big enough for a shower, toilet and sink. It is not meant to fit more than one person at a time and even then, it’s a tight fit! The larger main bedroom has a quality mattress with ample pillows, low lighting (or overhead if you light it brighter!), a dresser, closet and bedside tables. The second sleeping area is a converted sun porch with tons of natural light. The smart television is set up back here so it doesn’t dominate the main house, making it easier to disconnect from media and the “connected world”. The couch here converts into a double bed.

Out back is a fire pit area with a barbeque and more adirondack chairs. Perfect for summer evenings grilling al fresco and sharing time with those you love.

If you are looking for a cottage that can serve as your base for hiking, sightseeing, boating, surfing, fishing or hanging out at the beach, and you aren’t looking for anything fancy, this is the place!

Also please note that there are two permitted parking spaces for small to mid-sized cars. Larger trucks or RVs will NOT fit. If you are unsure about whether your car will fit, please let us know.

A. Property Use: The property shall not be used by more than the number of adults and children listed in your reservation.

B. Good Neighbor Policy: All guests must follow PacWest Vacation Rentals' good neighbor policy, avoiding illegal activities. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

C. Pets: Pets are not permitted unless specified in your reservation.

D. Minimum Age: The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. Guests under the minimum age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

E. No Smoking: Smoking is prohibited anywhere on the premises.

F. Prohibited Activities: No commercial photography, filming, tents, or other structures are allowed.

G. Renter Liability: The renter is responsible for any property damage and agrees to cover any charges for damages during the stay.

H. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made within 24 hours of booking will receive a full refund. After that, cancellations made 30 or more days before the first night of the reservation will be refunded, minus the booking fee.

I. Travel Insurance: It is recommended to purchase travel insurance to protect against financial loss in case of a covered cancellation. For more information, visit Insure Stays.

J. Additional Terms:

No Permanent Residence: The property is for temporary use only and cannot be used as a permanent residence.
No Criminal Activity: The property may not be used for any criminal activity.
Early Check-In/Late Check-Out: May be available for an additional fee. Unauthorized late check-out may result in charges.
Maintenance Issues: Report any issues immediately; we will address them as soon as possible.

K. Legal Terms:

Governing Law: This agreement is governed by Oregon law.
Dispute Resolution: Any disputes must be resolved through arbitration in Oregon.
Limitation of Liability: PacWest Vacation Rentals and the property owner are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
