Eagle's Nest Lodge — a timber, waterside lodge on the shore of one of Lake of the Ozarks' truly natural coves. Soaring 12-ft stone fireplace, exposed big-timber beams, sunning and swimming dock, and bald eagles on the fly year-round. Wide, wild, and gorgeous — this is the lake the way it used to be.
Eagle's Nest Lodge sits where the Gravois and Osage arms meet — on a wide, pristine 1,200-foot cove with naturally forested banks on every shore. The opposite bank is a private recreational camp, permanently protected natural land. Your view — a protected forest and pristine lake.
From the front door, you enter onto a balcony overlooking the great room below. Walking forward and to your right, three craftsman doors with glass handles — two queen bedrooms flanking a full bath. To your left, chunky big-timber stairs descend to the great room, over which your entrance view is of a 12-foot Ozark stone fireplace anchoring the room where wildlife and nature take pride of place on the walls. New with our recent season of renovating is the oversized pit sectional sofa which invites you and everyone to settle in. The kitchen features natural honed black granite counters, oak flooring, high-end Café appliance group with induction cooktop. Dining table seats 10.
Here on the main floor is where the bunk room is its own little world — twin/twin bunk and twin/queen bunk, large cubbies for gear, big TV and games. Perfect for kids, teens, or anyone who wants their own space that includes two full bathrooms attached! (Note: 1 bathroom not yet opened for season. Ask about opening schedule if it affects your booking.)
Outside, a 10×42-foot wraparound deck connects the lodge to the water with stairs descending to the dock — a 14×32-foot main dock structure with a 10×28 boat slip, plus a dedicated 8×20 sunning and swimming platform. Ask about boat trailer parking available on our upper hillside lot.
On any given day, a bald eagle may soar high overhead, dive past the deck, or swoop a giant fish straight from the cove. Listen for the pileated woodpecker — its call echoes through the forest all around the lodge. And the great blue herons? They fish off our dock throughout the day. We call it the Heron's Dock. Photos included.
This is not a typical lake rental. It's a place that gets into you.
