ATRHOME- Loft Studio Canova

The apartment is located inside Studio Canova, just behind Via del Corso. The entire building was property of the neoclassical sculptor Antonio Canova during the 18th century. The sculptor organized a real old-fashioned workshop working together many other artists.

Archaeological study finds were also housed, which are now partially walled into the external walls of the building.

Now is a private building , but it is under the safe of the National State since 1953 as heritage of historical and artistic interest. In 1978 it was transformed into an art gallery.

Today thanks to ATHROME all guests can fully enjoy it staying in a splendid renovated “industrial style” loft expertly furnished and finely finished. It is equipped with all services that enhance both comfort and originality at the same time.

The apartment is spread over e two classic levels loft, open-space downstairs with large living room with hidden double bed and a fully equipped kitchen, the sleeping area upstairs includes other two comfortable bedrooms.
Two large windows simultaneously fully illuminate both levels of the loft.

Fantastic Location

The location of this property is great. You are able to walk to all the major sights and there are lots of restaurants around to eat at. Beds were comfortable and it was fairly quiet at night. The shower is small and the hot water was a little funky but we made it work for our family of four.

Perfect location! Close to everything.

Excellent communication from the host and super easy check in. This is a historic property that appears to have been a building for artists at some point. The unit is a converted loft. Very charming. It is located within 10 minutes of most major landmarks and is in a more quiet area so while close to everything you can escape the crowds. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is very tiny but functional. We had issues with the hot water tank. I suspect this was user error and we made the host aware that instructions are required for non Europeans. The two bedrooms are equal size and in the loft area. To get to them you must go up stairs that do not have standard north American railings. I would not recommend the stairs for the elderly or children. There is a sofa bed on the main floor that could be used by those unsure of the stairs. The two bedrooms are adjoining by a sliding door. This means that those in bedroom two would need to walk through bedroom one to get to the stairs and bathroom. Wasnt an issue for us but be aware privacy is limited. Overall this was a great place for us to stop off before our return flight to Canada. Great location.

Perfect Location

Lovely apartment in an ideal location. Walkable to great shopping and iconic places. Lots of restaurants and a cute patisserie almost nextdoor. We stayed over Christmas Eve and were very comfortable. My daughter stayed on the pullout couch and son upstairs in lofted bedroom with my husband and I in the second. Plenty of room and everyone slept well.

We had a nice stay at this property. The location couldn’t be better. Giulia was helpful and we were able to check in without a problem. The bathroom is small but was fine for us. All the appliances worked.

a little disappointing

We felt the photos were a bit deceiving and the apartment looked much nicer and more luxurious in the photographs. Had the price been lower we would not feel the same way but it was priced like a higher end apartment. We stay in Rome every year and can make this comparison. The toiletries were minimal, the stairs were terrifying at night with a cable railing at the top (not shown in the photos) and it wasn’t set up for four people to spend any time in it relaxing, with just one couch and the kitchen table and chairs. Walking through one bedroom to reach the others meant no privacy for the first bedroom. The beds were comfortable (though only one pillow per person) . The location was superb, the host very responsive, the directions to get in were perfect, so it has it’s good points, and Guilia made it easy to enter and was proactive in communicating.

This loft is in a great location. Close to shopping, restaurants and tourist sights. The taxi did not drop us off at the door but it was easy enough to find. The host was very accessible and helpful during our stay.

Excellent Location and historic building

Loved the location and spaciousness of this two bedroom. Great for adult friends who need more space than a traditional European hotel room. Also very nice to have the kitchen to gather and eat quick meals/snacks. Highly receommend!

Perfect Location

Nice clean apartment in very central location

Nice property, was very clean and located in a nice area close to shopping and restaurants and sightseeing attractions. Checkin was a little late due to cleaner delays but they allowed us to drop our bags in while they finished up, so was fine. Washer didn’t work, but everything else was great

Nice and convenient

It was the nicest property out of several others where we stayed in Italy. Clean, well furnished, all kitchen necessities provided. A bit chilly, because the windows are facing a courtyard and no sun gets in, but still warm enough to avoid turning on the air conditioner to warm up. The shower, boiler, toilet and kitchen appliances worked well.

Great location in Rome

This was a great place to stay in. It’s in walking distance to all of the main attractions in Rome. The VRBO host was very responsive and checked to see if we needed anything additional with our stay. It was clean and comfortable. My only issue was with the shower. It’s very small and you can barely turn around in it. The water temperature would fluctuate from warm to cold. This was my only complaint though.

Nice place away from the crowds

Giulia was a wonderful host. She allowed us to drop our bags off ahead of check-in. Communication was great. We liked that it was away from the crowds but everything was still in walking distance. Lovely restaurants right down the alley. The only disappointment was that the washing machine was out of order but these things happen. Future guests should be aware that the stairs up to the apartment can be challenging if you have luggage

Enjoyed working with Guilia. Very clear checkin instructions. Unfortunately, the wash machine wasn’t working. First stay in Italy. The per person local tax caught us off guard. Suggest that VRBO make that tax obligation more clear.

Amazing Home Away From Home in Rome

Our family absolutely loved staying at this spot in Rome. It's right in the heart of everything and an easy walk to most tourist spots in the city. Very close to many nearby shops, grocery stores and amazing restaurants. The AC helped keep us cool in the hot summer month of August. Couldn't have asked for a better spot to spend the last part of our vacation!

Great location!

This property was perfect for my husband and I and our 2 adult children. It was walking distance to everything which was very helpful to us since we were only in Rome for 1 day. We had just finished a 7 day cruise and left the ship early so that we could fit in a full day in Rome. Our host Guilia was amazing! She was friendly and quick to respond which is what you need when you’re in a city you’ve never been before. The property was very clean and check-in was super easy. It’s also very close to restaurants and shops. We highly recommend the restaurant Frezza Cucina de Coccio. It’s literally right on the corner and the food and service are fantastic! I would definitely stay here again and I’m looking forward to a visiting Rome again very soon. Thank you Guilia!
