Rooms were fine but we had an extra bed stuffed in sideways in our room I would rather have had a couch. The elevator we avoided. Kind of scary. Beware..airplanes do fly over this property.

Staff was friendly on check in and check out. Reception building was nice. The room wasn't great. The thermostat didn't work so the room was really hot. We turned it down from 21.5 as low as it would go to 18.5, and the air/fan did not turn on. We opened the window, but there was no screen and planes fly over the hotel so it's loud with the window open. The shower did not drain properly, so by the end of each of our showers, we were standing in a base half full of water. There was a single wall mounted hair, hand and body wash tube by the sink, and another in the shower so amenities definitely lacking. The first thing we saw when we sat in the bathroom, was dark hair on the floor. The shower base was old and it was not well maintained. The bedskirts and curtains were stained, which didn't instill confidence about overall cleanliness. The "grate" inside the room entrance, opened into the ceiling above, and was dirty. The hallway carpet was quite dirty and old. The room cost CAD $252 in November, which felt high considering the room conditions. We suspect they're charging for proximity to FCO. Not what we expected from Best Western, or for how clean we found other properties in Italy.

The fuse box in the room made annoying noise. The room although non smoking, you could smell the smoke from the hallway. The breakfast speed for 18 euros is worth it. Lots of choices.

Third bed is not flat and stiff/super firm.
Very limited toilet paper. There were 3 of us and had only 1 replacement to one half existing toilet paper.

What balcony? Nobody told us about a balcony. Breakfast was way overpriced at €18. Didn't even try it. Shuttle to/from the airport got a little expensive as it was €8 per person each way. Maybe I'm being too harsh on Italian prices as things are very expensive there.

All was very good except we couldn't get the room cool enough!! The restaurant had excellentfood! , there is an 8 euro charge for the shuttle from the airport and others shuttles to other hotels are free.
