A truly outstanding stay! Eccelso Hotel in Rome exceeded every expectation. The rooms are spotless — modern, well-maintained, and impeccably clean, which made returning “home” after exploring the city feel like absolute comfort. The staff deserves special praise as well. They were warm, welcoming, and always ready with helpful recommendations or a friendly conversation that made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. The location could not be more perfect. You’re just steps from St. Peter’s Basilica and some of the best local cafés and restaurants in the area — ideal for early Vatican visits and evening strolls through charming Roman streets. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or returning to Rome, Eccelso Hotel delivers a superior experience in every way. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely return!

The hotel was modern, clean, quiet and very convenient to the Vatican. The very reasonably priced coffee bar in the lobby was a nice touch. The window opened and the AC worked, even in October. The area felt upscale and safe, if quite busy. The front door isn't easy to find unless you know what to look for, but the staff provided instructions before we arrived, so we didn't have a problem. The lobby is only manned 8:00 to 20:00, but they are willing to help schedule things outside those hours.

Our stay at Eccelso Hotel was a great experience. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were very courteous too. You cannot go wrong staying at this location. The area of Rome was very nice, convenient, and had lots of nearby shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend and would stay again.

In spite of the air conditioner outage, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff is second to none. Always a welcoming smile, a friendly word and eagerly helpful. You couldn't ask for a better location. Within walking distance to the Vatican and transportation, as well as great neighborhood eats and shops. You can't go wrong with a stay at the Eccelso Hotel.

This is a small family run hotel .. very clean and newly renovated. Staff was very helpful and hospitable. The biggest negative was that the air conditioning wasn’t working and had broken day before I arrived .. they should have informed me immediately when it happened so I could have booked somewhere else.
