The elevator for brining up the suitcases was a bit tricky. For the price you pay the location is great but you cannot expect it to be like a hotel.

Our stay was amazing !! Their staff is so helpful and they really try to do their best to make your stay pleasant! Rooms are very comfortable and very clean, with a true Rome feel ! Safe and fridge in room and two wonderful windows overlooking the beautiful streets of Rome !! THE LOCATION … you can’t beat it ! Close to absolutely everything … This will be our place to stay on our next visit !!!

This is an old property and neatly tucked away off a busy shopping street. We really liked the location, although the rooms are slightly hard to get to (coded elevator, through the hotel, back down stairs, etc.). There was incense oil in the area near the rooms that was unpleasant.

I loved the area and the onsite attendant was amazing. However, the check in process is cumbersome. The customer service refused to call a taxi for us to go rail station. The onsite attendant did take the time to call for us.

Excellent hotel! Perfectly located in the heart of Rome, within walking distance to major attractions like the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and many more. It’s also close to fantastic dining options. The room was spotless, situated in a charming apartment complex, and stocked with coffee and snacks that are replenished daily. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring a seamless stay. Overall, highly recommended for an unforgettable experience in Rome.

I had a very disappointing experience at Residenza Frattina. While there is an elevator, it can only fit one person at a time, and you have to ride it to the third floor, then walk down stairs to the second floor to reach the apartment — which was both confusing and inconvenient. The listing gives the impression of a hotel, but it’s really just an apartment with no hotel-style services. To make matters worse, the room was never cleaned during my stay. Unfortunately, this was not the experience I expected, and I will not be returning.

Great 4 day family trip

Had a fantastic stay for a 4 day trip. Location is amazing. The accommodation is modest, very clean and has everything you need. The Nespresso coffee station was perfect. Host was very responsive via email and WhatsApp. We appreciated the help to organize transportation to airport.

Rome City Break

Had a wonderful city break in Rome and stayed here as a family of 4 with teenagers. Centrally located in a lively shopping district with plenty of restaurant options and supermarkets nearby. All the main attractions (Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi fountain) are within reasonable walking distance. No reception at the hotel as everything is done via WhatsApp and it is easy to communicate with the management via WhatsApp with any questions. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

My family and I have just spent 4 nights at Residenza Frattina and it was just wonderful! The room was large, we had a double bed and two singles (hard to find in Rome as a lot of places have sofa beds), a safe in the room, a little balcony, a great shower… It was clean, quiet and had so much character! The area was absolutely perfect - it felt very safe, the roads weren’t busy (the one outside was mainly pedestrianised) and some the shops were out of this world! Less than a 10 minute walk to the Pantheon, less than 5 minutes to the Spanish Steps - it was just the perfect location. Aura was brilliant with all the instructions beforehand and arranging transport back to the airport for us and we felt like it was so easy to contact someone if we needed any help. There aren’t staff onsite, but that’s what we liked as we prefer that to a traditional hotel. I hope to return to Rome and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else. If I could rate it higher than 5 for everything I would!

Checking in was a little worrisome because there is no actual receptionist. But once that was figured out, it was a breeze. The location is extremely nice as its in a not so busy street but made it very walkable to tourist locations.

The actual room was satisfactory, but the description was NOT. It claimed it had an elevator, but the elevator went to the third floor and to get to the property you had to go down a flight of stairs to the second floor( no elevator service to second floor). This information is crucial if you have suitcases. It also claimed 24 hour service, which consisted of a telephone on the wall. No staff on site, and after numerous calls it was finally answered. There was no way to get into the building except by following a video of the codes necessary to get in , get in the elevator and get in the door to the rooms. Had my phone not been charged I would have had no way to get in, because the wall phone reception was awful and the words garbled. The location was not clearly visible and the taxi couldn't find it. Once we got in after unbelievable stress, the room was ok, and was centrally located. I based my choice on the description and it was deceptive.

Great location easy to access as long as you follow the provided instruction. Great service each day fresh towels and good room turn down. Nice coffee machine in the room. I would stay here again.
