Great hotel by the Vatican

Great hotel, great service, and amazing staff. Location was close to the Vatican and downtown Rome. Only draw back was the AC, maintenance never could get it to worked right.

From the moment we arrived at Starhotels Michelangelo, we felt genuinely welcomed. As we pulled up to the entrance, the bellman kindly allowed us to park right in front of the hotel, which was a huge relief considering how busy and limited the parking is in the area. This small gesture immediately set the tone for the rest of our stay. As we stepped into the elegant lobby, we were greeted warmly by several front desk representatives, but we must give a special shoutout to Maria T., the concierge. Maria went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. Not only did she personally escort us to our room, but she also explained all the hotel amenities in detail, including breakfast information, with such warmth and professionalism. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable ~ with a lovely balcony view and, to our left, the breathtaking dome of St. Peter’s Basilica. Every aspect of the hotel exudes quality and care. The elevators were quick, the beds and pillows plush and relaxing, and the entire staff ~ from bellmen to front desk to restaurant team ~ were consistently attentive and eager to help. It’s rare to see such across-the-board excellence in hospitality, but this team truly impressed us. We will absolutely be returning to Starhotels Michelangelo. If you’re visiting Vatican City, there is no better place to stay. Grazie mille to the entire team for making our trip so memorable!
