One of the best motels I’ve stayed in Rotorua that fitted my budget. The lady was so kind and helpful to me over the phone when I said I couldn’t check in till after 6pm. She gave me clear instructions on how to check in and had really good communication. The room was so nice to stay in aswell lots of space, warm, clean, cosy and peaceful. Thank you so much I’d definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again.

Outside the property doesn’t look too flash but the room was really nice. Plenty of space, recently renovated and very clean. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. It was good value and I would stay again.

Comfortable stay with warm rooms and comfy beds. Hotel is tired but rooms have been refreshed. Some areas of cleaning in the room could be improved but didn’t adversely affect our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value.

The staff were very friendly. They were training someone when I got there but they were all very polite. We got there a little bit early. Luckily the room was ready and they let us check in a little bit early. The room was great value for price. very clean and spacious, and very good bathroom

We were a bit hesitant after reading some of the online reviews online, but we needed economical accommodation for our family of four during an 8-night stay over the Easter break — and Marsden Rotorua turned out to be a great surprise! At around $108/night, we were expecting the bare basics, but the location was super convenient and the facilities were much more modern than we anticipated. The room was clean and functional, and worked really well for a family stay. We came prepared with our own cutlery, coffee decanter, and Google dongle/remote, which worked great with their quality Samsung TV — perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The room also had a heat pump with heat, cool, fan, dry, and swing functions, which made it easy to stay comfortable throughout our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful — they even lent us an extension cord when we asked, which was much appreciated. Overall, it exceeded our expectations and turned out to be excellent economical home base for our stay.
