I have stayed a few times over the last few years, and I find the staff friendly, the rooms clean, an excellent breakfast with local produce and a great bar.

The room was not what we expected it did look like picture, but sink was cracked heating went off at night and towel rail didn’t work.restaurant menu was limited. On the plus breakfast was excellent staff were really nice.

The staff were so friendly!! From arriving and check in to the lovely lady that served me dinner in the bar. The food was also exceptional (dinner was a recommendation from the waitress in the bar) and it was genuinely some of the best food I’ve had from a hotel. I couldn’t fault it any interaction I had with the staff or the food. The room was also really spacious and clean.

The hotel is obviously first and foremost a conference facility so was quite empty when we stayed at the weekend. This was actually quite good as the games room was empty so had a few games of pool. The restaurant was also not crowded for the breakfast buffet.

Room was really clean, it looked like it had been recently refurbished One small moan, there should be a mirror above the sink so you can shave with out making a mess Staff were very friendly especially the girl on the reception on Sunday morning , super friendly super helpful Breakfast really good too , nice to see the cooked products had colour as a lot of hotels under cook it

Bread was starting to go hard as left uncovered. Couldn't tell who was staff or guest. No name badges. Fire drill was a farce. The only thing i liked about staying there was the room. Plenty of storage nice shower and comfortable bed.

All staff were polite and helpful and the restaurant was good. The room was extremely noisy when the window was open (trying to cool it) with an A road about 50 metres away, so had to settle for a warm room with no fresh air :( Maintenance is sorely lacking - the blinds don't open and parts of the blinds lying on the floor, some bathroom finishings missing. Not the standard one expects of a 4 star hotel. Worst of all I came really close to breaking my ankle walking to the car park in the pitch dark, getting around a group unloading their vehicle on the path and stepped on the edge of a very large pothole that was impossible to see in the dark, management need to be more attentive to health and safety issues like this.

Room 110 is next to a noisy boiler/heater type unit as it hums all night. Avoid this room. Otherwise ok but the shower screen needs a plastic seal to prevent the water from flooding the bathroom.
