Let me start by saying the views are amazing. The house itself needs some help. Its just poorly managed. I was called earlier in the day and told to stop by and pick up the welcome packet at the office. I did and then was told they couldn’t give it to me until 4 and that I had to come back. They finally gave it to me, but the agency threatened extra charges at every turn. If I went to the house before 4, extra charge, if I used too many towels, extra charge, etc etc.
Well we got to the house after four pm and warmed up the oven to make some pizzas. The oven hadn’t been cleaned and there was a thick layer of sludge in the bottom. It smoked the house up for hours. I called the after hours number and told her about it and she informed me to open all the doors and windows, and there was nothing she could do. I asked if there were any box fans and she said she had never visited the property so she didn’t know. This explains why the house looked like it did, no one manages it. The carpets were dirty, couches and furniture were falling apart, there were only three washcloths for the whole house, and every grouping of lights, or fixture with more than one bulb had different color bulbs.
Back to the oven situation, we finally cleaned it ourselves. They said they would send someone in the morning, and by noon the next day no one reached out, so I called them to tell them we took care of it ourselves.
I also inquired about if we could get some money back for the inconvenience, and have gotten nothing but a run around for two straight weeks. They are quick to say they are going to charge extra for every little thing, but aren’t quick to fix any problems or offer any kind of money back. Paid a cleaning fee, and I’m wondering what that went to.
