Its dated and certain inexpensive things should be replaced but weren't. You can hear conversations in the next room.It is a clean place and near the highway but its a cheap motel so you get what you pay for.

This is a budget option as far as St. John goes, however, we felt that the condition of the facilities does not merit the price of the rooms. The room had a strange blend of musty smells and that of cleaning supplies. The bed mattress was worn, not firm. The bathroom was small, out of date and had some mildew buildup.

We stopped one night in St. John and the Regent was perfect for us. A fair price, parking outside the door, clean and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stop there again.

Avoid This Place – Dirty and Unhygienic We stayed at the Regent Motel in Saint John, NB on August 30, 2025, and were extremely disappointed with the condition of the room. The cleanliness was shockingly poor: The wallpaper was peeling off, with signs of mold or water damage underneath (see photo). The shower head was rusted and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or replaced in years. The blanket and pillows had a foul smell, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. The overall room felt dirty and poorly maintained. We expected at least basic cleanliness for the price we paid, but this was far from acceptable. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless serious renovations and cleaning measures are taken.
