Host was communicative before booking, but communication was not possible other than solely thru this platform. It was difficult to advise the host of my experience or needs. The bedroom rug had a potent urine odor, as well as, being dirty. The toilet was not clean. There is no dishwasher, limited wine glasses and one coffee mug. Though this is a pet-friendly host, the rooms smelled of pet urine. The window A/Cs were not adequately sealed, allowing bugs, moths, and spiders inside the bedroom and onto the bed. I was bitten by a bug during my sleep. I expected a clean environment without bugs. Host did not provide a guest book (other than a guest register) with stay instructions, nor did the host suggest shops nearby, things to do in the area or on the property. There was no welcome basket, even though it was mentioned. Bed sheets from a prior guest were left inside the dryer. If you are traveling with children, there are several electrical covers missing from outlets. The cottage itself is charming, but some details need attention. Videos and photos available.
