This Super 8 needs renovating and upgrading. Furniture is old, and old window a/c. Bed looks comfortable but I haven't slept in it yet. Room appears clean. Excellent location with excellent food at the pub next door and nice walking distance to boat launch, downtown and all waterfront.

We have been traveling for 12hr from Vancouver island when a staff member called asking for our arrival time. I told them 1-1.30 hrs (that was at 9pm), one hour later at 10pm they called me AGAIN and said “so, what time are you getting here?”. I asked if there’s a problem bc it felt pushy and unnecessary. They said they’re waiting just for us in the lobby. Alright, but it’s a hotel/motel or whatever they identify as. We can arrive at any time on the same calendar day as long as it’s after check in time. It felt like the staff member was doing me a favour for staying till 10 pm. The room was hot, stuffy and the air conditioner was super loud, making it nearly impossible to sleep or even breathe comfortably. Overall, not a welcoming or restful experience. Wouldn’t stay here again

Unfortunately this was our second stay at super 8, as we were traveling through, and we were just as disappointed. There were ants on the floor and then woke up to 2 spiders on the bed. We didnt bother trying the other amenities nor the breakfast. We got what we paid for.

Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Noise travels easily thought, if someone is talking outside it feels like they’re in your room. All night the people staying upstairs were talking and moving furniture around.
