I liked that I was able to work with the front desk with easel Housekeeping was another thing - rude. I was handed sheets to change my own bed after 3 day. I was ignored when I asked housekeeping for toilet paper and change of towels. I had tow walk then to the front desk and explain the situation before I showered. There fore my experience was good and not so good. Housekeeping did not once come inside to either : sweep, mop, clean commode or shower/tub. Check for any areas which could be addressed with housekeeping standards. I was let down daily by housekeeping. Front dest - Frank was extremely helpful.. He addressed the issues I did ask attention be given to which were not all just a few most important to me two. I created my stay to be the best possible with what I had to work with. Even if it took my own broom I bought at the dollar store. I stayed happy and grateful, swept the floor and moved on.

NEED SECURITY

I stay here when i come see my child every other weekend. Ive stayed at this location before but always in a room above or close to the office. Them rooms are fine. Each time very clean never a problem. But this visit, MY GOD! I was roomed in the back building 2??. Homeless Fentanyl addicts just smoking away early morning. About 7 of them. I went to the office & asked if they had security which he said no. He stated what can i do, they just come back. I told him call the police. He just shrugged. The next morning when leaving for the day he actually walked up and told them to leave which they did slowly. I would not stay in them back building rooms if you choose tjis location

The room was cheap, but the property was terrible. There were junkies and hobos all over the place, is was scary to be out of the room at night. The room was ok at best, everything was pretty outdated but the ac worked and it was somewhat clean and comfortable, aside from the empty beer can in the closet and the purple stain on the top sheet of the bed. Probably will not stay here again if I can help it.

Don’t be so presumptuous and rude…

This Hotel gets half a star for the name being so clever and fitting. I mean, how much more whimsically mysterious could it get than a stay at The Discovery Inn, right? Allow me to share with you my Discovery… As I was being checked in for my reservation, another employee decided to help the guest behind me with his reservation, same counter different registers. What a time-saver, and this is the kind of efficiency I would normally praise. But I digress. My husband called ahead to check on their Deposit policy. Sometimes hotels want cash only for deposit, some only cards. So we wanted to be prepared for our arrival. We were told $60 deposit for incidentals, and the manager on the phone was very clear in stating the deposit was just them taking a copy of the card to charge later if there were any shenanigans resulting in damage. He went out of his way to say “now don’t worry about this I’m not going to charge your card right? So imagine our shock when the man helping us rudely told us the $60 was being added to the total for the room. Then he asked very loudly and in an aggressive tone “do you want a room? Do you even have money?” My husband was noticeably upset and explained what we were told on the phone earlier. The man then proclaimed that he was now going to charge us $100 instead of $60 because he said he doesn’t like us. My two small children were standing there confused, tired. And pretty much I was so humiliated and exhausted we decided to stay elsewhere

Good stay

We had a nice 4 night stay. Originally planned on 2 nights then added an additional 2 nights. Their rates were higher over the weekend. The bed was super comfortable and the room was pretty clean for the most part. The toilet did have a little trouble flushing and there was a small gnat problem in the bathroom sink. They let us pay cash and required a $60 refundable deposit which they also accepted in cash. They have laundry on site that is $5 a load (2.50 wash + 2.50 dry). Definitely don't expect to go swimming though (puke). The rooms do have a fridge but no microwave. All around good stay!
