Great hidden gem!

Great find and perfect for a family getaway! Although there was a man who worked the front desk, he was pretty rude... but all other staff were great! Great housekeeping! Fun pool.

They told me when i was checking in that id be charged for anything missing from thebroom, like random out of no where. What did he thunk id want from that room?? The room was nice, but the floors were filthybdorty. The breakfast has a lot of options and is really busy. There is no pool. & i just cant ger over them telling me ill be charged for anything i take from the room... not sure if he said tjat cause i wasnt wearing make up, i headed straoght there after work, or if it was my black 3 year old nephew or my hispanice guy.... not a clue, but it was rude. We will not stay here again.

The bed was comfortable specially the pillows! The shower was not fancy but oh boy oh boy the showerhead was AMAZING! That was the best shower pressure I have ever experienced in any hotel! There was a good size fridge and microwave and the room size was good. There was no table to eat though in the room so we had to eat at the desk! The area was so busy but close to anything u want! A short drive to the beach, groceries, sea world and more. There was lots of construction in the area so it was very challenging to get out of the parking lot. Breakfast was ok, eggs, sausage, waffle, etc. but it was the same thing both days we were in. The breakfast area is very very small for the size of the hotel, and they don’t do anything to manage the line up. The line up goes through the seating area, means that as you are seating people standing right beside u! Second day we went down for breakfast at 7:30, it was a bit better but still very busy. Overall for the price it was a good stay. I would go there again to take the best shower again.

The entire world was aware of the tsunami advisory in effect from the 8.7 earthquake near Russia. This motel would not let me cancel the reservation for a refund, it is in San Diego, just blocks away from water. Whether the tsunami would come or not the fact that there was an advisory and this place would not refund my money is horrible. I ended up booking the last room in Alpine Ca, There was nothing "Comforting" about this place. I suffer from PTSD and this was horrible of them. I will never stay with this chain in the future.
