The staff are mostly excellent and inside the hotel is cute except for the steep stairs. I loved the second floor coffee area. The location is on the fringe of the Gaslamp next to an Exotic Lingerie store and a nightclub. A man and a bunch of women hang out outside the door all night. Pris

Clean room, wonderful staff, very nice restaurant/bar. Reasonably priced. 2nd floor room can be a little noisy with traffic/activity on 6th Ave, but very comfortable otherwise.

Check in line went quickly enough. Front desk staff takes you to your room. There was an odor of pot on the second floor that the staff said he’d check into that as it’s a non smoking hotel. Comfortable bed, nice room! I left an item in the room at check out. They held it for me until my return. Nice gesture.

Staff friendly. Great location. Right near the Balboa where our show was. Close to all Gaslamp restaurants. FYI there is no elevator. We were on the 3rd floor window to the street. The street noise was very loud. Even with the negatives we would stay here again.

Aside from there not being an elevator, the rooms do not have amenities like a fridge, microwave, etc. The Wi-Fi kicks you out about every hour and you have to log back in something that I learned while on a conference call. The walls are a bit thin and it’s easy to hear that people are talking in the rooms next-door. Also, there is very little space in the bathroom to put anything like a night bag. The staff was nice and the rooms are clean, but those were the only positives.

Staff was so pleasant and we loved the boutique vibe of the hotel. Front of the hotel was a bit noisy with street traffic but the ac unit helped drown out the noise. Thanks for the hot Starbucks each morning!

Great boutique hotel! Standard rooms are not as big as chain hotels but it has so much charm that is hard to beat. Comfortable, clean and located in a good spot. Would stay here again.
