The staff was very nice. The hotel had large pool areas. It is an older hotel that i would not consider a 5 star hotel at all, but maybe in Costa Rica they think it is. The food service was absolutely horrible. When I finally did get food it was the wrong order.

The hotel and grounds are pretty big. The casino is nearly symbolic by most standards. Staff were pretty good, friendly, helpful, room spacious and clean. I would have preferred a different location so I could walk around and explore a bit. Can we get more gluten free options? Price for the room was reasonable. Appreciate the mini-fridge and extra pillow. They work hard to keep the place clean.

It was absolutely awful. Our room was FILLED with over 15 cockroachs. We had to switch rooms and even the new room was nasty. We did not get to bed until 2am because of this when we had to get up at 5 to catch our flight. I will never stay with you guys again.

Its always a comfortable stay but seemed like nothing was working, the Ice Machine, the Vending machine, my telephone - I had to use my cell (.25 per minute) to call for room service for ICE and another call to have the bellhop to pick up my luggage upon check out.

Wyndham San Jose Herradura Hotel & Convent

I recently stayed at the Wyndham San Jose Herradura and found the experience to be a bit underwhelming. The hotel feels quite outdated — from the decor to the general ambiance, it's clear it hasn’t been modernized in a while. While the room rate was reasonable, especially compared to other hotels in San Jose, the stay was marred by a very frustrating shower experience. At 5 a.m., I tried to take a shower and the water pressure was awful — it would go from a weak flow to just a drip, then back again. It was nearly impossible to take a proper shower, which was really disappointing and inconvenient. Overall, the price was fair for the area, but the amenities, especially something as basic as running water, need serious attention. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have no better options.

this property is not like any other wyndham that i have stayed at. The food was gross. the pictures they use to describe the hotel does not look like it when you get there. tell me how a whole hotel runs out of water and mind you it rain the day before but they said thats why it ran out of water. worse experience ever

San Jose is a 3rd world country with 1st world prices. Hotel is more like a resort, breakfast is available for purchase. No complaints about the resort but all over Costa Rica is very backwards, traffic jam always, pollution, air quality is very low, I don't recommend staying too long
