The hotel is beautiful! The room was spotless. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect in the middle of old San Juan. It allowed us to walk around easily to enjoy the whole city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to add time and switch rooms as a result. The housekeeping staff coordinated with us to make sure we could just move from one room to the next without waiting. I would stay here again without question.

Air conditioning in our room (204) was terrible. I think it needs to be calibrated. The housekeeping staff set it at 68 and I had to wear my winter jacket. We did get some help and learned to keep the temp at 88 so that the AC would never go on.

Amenities were good. The cleaning had not be completed-seemed that it was interrupted at the bathroom since a garbage liner was left at sink and the sink was unclean -soap scum evident. However all else was clean. Front desk staff were attentive. Bar upstairs is great and the restaurant dinner was filling and ceviche incredible.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Decanter Hotel. It was very close to everything in Old San Juan, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to help us feel right at home and made great recommendations for things for us to do and restaurants to eat at during the holidays. The hotel was a traditional feeling hotel. Our room was big and had a wonderful balcony overlooking the street. It was a great space! We definitely recommend the Decanter for a wonderful stay when staying in Old San Juan.

Room was nice although there was no mini fridge. Terrace was amazing. Unfortunately, we were unable to utilize the rooftop bar as it had a private party the night we stayed, very loud music and unable to sleep until it was over. The rooftop bar was one of the reasons that we chose this hotel, as we would have been able to have food/drinks at the hotel. Price of room should have been less given these are the only amenities at the hotel. Safe was broken in the room, staff unable to have it fixed for our stay. Phone in room was not plugged in, and no outlet found for it. Reported to staff, but not fixed, did not address it and so we were unable to utilize it to call other members of our family in their rooms. Staff were polite and hotel is in a great location for walking around Old San Juan.
