Good stay hotel was cute and clean. Staff was great! Cons: Terrible bed. Was woken up at 11:30pm by the smoke alarm which was extremely loud and scared me. They didn’t figure out why they went off.

Great stay in Old San Juan

I stayed in a room with a terrace and it was lovely. I was worried that the Murphy bed might be uncomfortable, but it was very comfortable! The terrace was huge and with lots of places to sit and some shade. The room was larger than I expected, very clean and comfortable with a/c, a ceiling fan, a great closet (with lots of hangers) and very functional bathroom. The location of the hotel is excellent - a short walk to everything in Old San Juan, and each staff member I had contact with was extremely friendly and helpful. The building itself is also very beautiful. I would absolutely recommend staying at the Decanter, it was better than I expected and was a great stay in Old San Juan!

My fam and I weren’t able to make it to Puerto Rico due to a huge storm that delayed all flights till the next day. I explained to the hotel and ask for a refund. Furthermore Expedia asked for a refund on my behalf and they also said no. Although it was completely out of my control the hotel administration took my money and said there was no refund allowed. The least they could’ve done was give me a credit for a different day.

Lovely Boutique Hotel

Beautiful, roof top sitting with a view of the city, I looove the coffee options from the complimentary coffee machine. Check-in was a breeze, young lady at the front desk was nice, room was clean, bed was a bit creaky but comfy, toiletries and complimentary water were available. Walking distance to many restaurants, store, sights and sounds of Old San Juan. Only downside for the room I booked is that there's not much space if u have a lot of bags or a big bag. It was a good for a solo traveler and would be good if I ate traveling light. I was in the 1 bedroom queen size bed I believe.

Spotless room and bathroom. Nice decor. Friendly staff. Great location. Stayed in a standard interior room, so it was not a big room, but it was perfect. Comfortable bed, nice decor, high ceiling, with air conditioning. Hotel is small so no crowds and quiet. Hotel has a rooftop thst is open on weekends. Hotel has no great amenities but for me are really not needed as there are lots of restaurants and bars all around Old San Juan. Just a block away from famous San Sebastián Street and La Factoria. Had great cocktails there. Excellent location/stay for sightseeing and bar hopping in Old San Juan without needing a car. Highly recommended if you want a great stay to explore Old San Juan without spending a fortune. Would definitely stay again.
El Convento Hotel is just a block away. Sat there in a bank in front of the hotel enjoying the view of the Cathedral,old tree and OSJ vibe.
