not good enough!

a hotel with potential but not good enough at present! the room is good but inconvenient. the AC can not be controlled from within the room- it has no remote. one has to ask the reception to turn it up or down. and there is no phone in the room to do so!! there is no water bottles or tea or coffee machine in the room. the breakfast is meagre. and the pool is a joke- a little bigger than a bathtub! overall- not a good hotel to stay in, especially for the price that they charge.

This hotel was true to the Puerto Rican heritage. The continental breakfast was not the traditional cold cereal and muffin. The room was clean with cold A/C. I truly enjoyed my stay here. I def would come back!!!!

Such a pretty historic building in the heart of Old San Juan. Excellent continental breakfast and coffee! I wish they had been up front that you cannot flush toilet paper, although we were not surprised. However, the bathroom was not cleaned while we were there. There are 2 ceiling fans, but only 1 worked. Which made the a/c unit very difficult to keep the room at the 75° you had to keep the temp at. The king bed, needs changed. It was a "W" indented mattress with plywood underneath. It was very difficult to sleep well. However, it was a great place to stay and is close to EVERYTHING!!

Amazing location in the heart of the old town. The character of this hotel is so beautiful and authentic. The people were great - friendly and helpful. The room was very large and comfortable although a little tired (eg light globes not working, and wear and tear). It was inconvenient that the aircon could not be controlled in the room and I needed to go down to reception borrow a remote control, return to my room, adjust the aircon and then return the remote. My room did have some minor flooding with heavy rain - luckily my luggage was not on the floor. I would stay here again.

Located in the old part of San Juan, close to shopping and great restaurants this hotel is in a great place. The room was very nice, spacious and clean The bathroom was just as nice. Look at the pictures others have sent. I will recommend this to spot to anyone going to PR. Rooftop dining was so nice with continental included in the three night stay.

I love the old neighborhood, with its history, brick roads, old construction, monuments, etc. but with the old buildings, you get some plumbing issues they require you to go gentle on the toilet and not flush toilet paper down, which is a bit jarring if you’re not used to that! I stayed here at the tail end of my week visiting for work in Cayey from Washington state. Is hotel was a good location for seeing the sites and a good spot to cool off from the heat.

The Terraza is a small boutique hotel with a lot of charm. I stood for 1 night. I enjoyed my complimentary breakfast, on the rooftop, very much. It has nice eating and lounging area with a small infinity pool overlooking Old San Juan. The chef and waiter were very pleasant and friendly. Our room was very quaint with not much space to move around or, desk/sitting area. Because it’s an older hotel, the plumbing is very fragile and you have to call to ask the front desk to go to your room to adjust the AC temp, for you. But our room was very clean and our beds were comfortable. I didn’t have a great experience checking in with front desk. The girl was very rude and I ended up having to upgrade my room because the room was too small for 3 people. Instead of being polite and working with me to rectify the situation, she caught a bad attitude and was very unprofessional. Not the way anyone wants to start a vacation and I was glad I was only staying for 1 night to go to a bigger hotel. I was grateful for the encounter with the rooftop staff as they helped turn my first night in Puerto Rico into a better one.

Clean room, old style Spain seen, pool, great delicious breakfast, full menu and bar at the location. Loved the shower had lots of pressure and hot water. Loved the balcony and the sites all the way to the ocean. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come back.

Room was filthy. Nothing close to the pictures. Run down outdated. Bar prices were triple then other places. AC shut off every night at 11pm. They refuse to give you a remote to the AC. Tv never connected to anything, cable or internet! Internet was very poor reception. Breakfast was great ! The hotel is overpriced! Dont waste your money or your time. Staff was un helpful and rude. The manager was very helpful but on our last day. 1st and last time in Puerto Rico!
