Welcome to a light-filled second-floor oasis where century-old mosaic tiles steal the show.

The open living-dining space flows into a fully stocked kitchen with full-size fridge, oven/stove, microwave, coffee maker, cookware, and basic spices. Both bedrooms feature queen beds, ample closets, ceiling fans, and window A/C units. A sparkling bath offers a rainfall shower and plush towels. High-speed Wi-Fi, smart TV, and an in-suite washer–dryer keep modern comforts close.

You’ll wake to breezy palms and songbirds, then stroll four blocks to soft sand where locals kite-surf and jog at sunrise.

Within a 10-minute walk you can sip craft coffee on Calle Loíza, sample food-truck mofongo in Santurce’s street-art district, or dress up for rooftop cocktails on Ashford Avenue.

Groceries, pharmacies, ATMs, and a 24-hour bakery are all nearby, and the block itself is residential, well-lit, and considered one of the safer pockets of San Juan.

Park free on Calle Tapia (spaces turn over all day). Prefer not to drive? Uber is plentiful—15 min to the airport, 10 min to Old San Juan’s forts.

Bikes and e-scooters line the beachfront for a scenic ride, and most cafés, bars, and beaches are a flat walk away, so you can explore at your own pace without worrying about parking or safety.

Because of its age and island setting, a few things work differently from a modern mainland home:

• Original mosaic floors show gentle wear and color variation; please remove sandy shoes and avoid dragging luggage.

• Slightly uneven thresholds, wavy plaster walls, and the occasional creaky hinge are part of the charm, not defects.

• Hot-water heaters here are compact; water gets warm but not scalding, so enjoy shorter showers and let the tank recover between guests.

• Second-floor walk-up (16 steps, no elevator).

• Street parking is usually easy and the neighborhood is considered very safe; paid garages on Ashford Ave. are about an eight-minute walk if you prefer covered parking.
