Great stay

Great stay. Front desk people were frie dly, and suggested restaurants nearby. The place is great and smells of essential oils. Very close to Centro de Bellas artes, and to Kaiju, an amazing Japanese fusion restaurant nearby.

The hotel accommodation was beyond our expectation. The Front Desk Clerk, Franny was extremely courteous and professional. Our interaction with her allowed us to have a memorable experience on our first visit to Puerto Rico. She is truly an asset to The Looking Glass Hotel and its customers. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy the local attractions and restaurants.

I rated Looking Glass good but they were excellent for what they were. We just didn’t realize they weren’t a full service hotel. No elevator, no restaurant, tiny room and they didn’t want toilet paper flushed due to the delicate plumbing. None of this would prevent us from staying again but know what you are booking. Very clean and friendly/helpful staff.

Very noisy as others have mentioned, but they do provide earplugs which helps a bit. The room was small but clean. Bed was hard as a rock. We walked to a nearby restaurant at night and felt safe. Be aware you have to carry your bags up the stairs. Not a problem for us but I’m sure for some it would be. Cheap, clean, central accommodation for one short night.

First off , it’s in a part of town where you’re really on your own . Walked to to nice place for dinner , but although the people spoke English, they said the menu only comes in Spanish and no one would help us translate. So we all tried to use an app on our phone , and figured out duck and lamb . There’s no elevator, so going on a cruise from there and dragging large suitcases up and down stairs is very difficult. Then around 11 pm at night , the fire alarm went off . We all stumbled out of bed and grabbed what little we could . No fire , thank God but then why did it go off? Is it gonna happen again? Wouldn’t stay there again, as neighborhood unfriendly. Trash on sidewalks, and a lot of noise outside . The staff was friendly and apologized for the alarm that went on for a good 15 minutes.

This property was renovating the downstairs to include a little deli. The rooms were newly renovated and comfortable . We felt safe walking around the area. Lots of little local restaurants and bars along the main drag. We found a food truck court. 20 minutes walking distance that was just fabulous. The beach was about 30 to 40 minute walk. Well worth the walk.
