The building:
Surf Station is a small collection of private apartments in Santa Barbara’s West Beach neighborhood, managed by Maza Hospitality. Unit 2 is entirely your own — you won’t share a hallway, kitchen, or bath.

Sleeps up to 4. Room-darkening shades and extra bedding for an easy night’s sleep. All beds made up with hotel-grade linens and towels.
The space:
A recently renovated 1-bedroom with a full living room, a comfy sectional, and a 48" flatscreen TV. Fast WiFi throughout, and a bathroom stocked with Public Goods products.
Kitchen:
Full kitchen, stocked for real cooking — cookware, bakeware, knives, utensils, plates, glassware, coffee and wine glasses. Nespresso machine with a starter set of pods, plus a kettle. Dishwasher, full-size fridge, oven, and stovetop. Salt, pepper, oil, and basic pantry staples on hand.
Shared courtyard:
Gas BBQ, picnic table, fountain, and overhead string lights, shared with the other Surf Station apartments.
Parking:
One free private parking spot is included — park once and walk everywhere. Street parking in West Beach is genuinely difficult, so this is a real perk.
Getting around:
Funk Zone tasting rooms and restaurants: ~5 min walk
West Beach and Stearns Wharf: ~10 min walk
Downtown / State Street: ~10 min walk
Amtrak Santa Barbara station: directly across the street
Once you’ve parked, you can leave the car for the weekend.
Check-in:
Self check-in by smart lock, after 4:00 PM. Checkout by 11:00 AM. We send door codes and directions on the day of arrival.
Pre-check-in:
After booking, we ask you to complete a quick pre-check-in: a photo ID upload and a $1 security deposit hold. It takes about two minutes.
Good to know:
This is a lively, downtown-adjacent neighborhood. You’ll hear some city sound, including the occasional train — if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
Pets are welcome — there is a $75 pet fee for the stay.
