Nice quiet location with restaurants nearby

We had a delightful 5 days on Madeira and found that staying in Canico was preferable to Funchal. It was quieter, close to sea and with lots of nice restaurants nearby. Buses were regular and frequent so public transport was good to Funchal. There was also a local tourist office where we could book excursions etc. weather was brilliant too. All in all a lovely break

beautiful flat

We stayed here for a fortnight in November. The apartment is small but adequate for two people. The wardrobe is very small, the bed only 1.7m wide. The kitchen is very well equipped. We did not miss anything. We had breakfast on the balcony from where you have a very nice view of the sea. The neighbourhood is very nice with shops, cafes and bars. The sea is about 300m away and accessible via a staircase. The building itself looks very simple from the outside, but the flat is very nice. The service was very good. We communicated exclusively via Whattsapp. Minor problems with the electricity and internet were solved within an hour. We were very satisfied with the service.

Appartement spacieux et très propre, excellente localisation (plage, marina, vieille ville, épicerie) , piscine très propre et calme, cuisine très bien équipée. Tout y etait parfait, les communications avec l’hôte sont faciles.
