The staff was very friendly and receptive, but overall, the stay was not comfortable. The hotel is somewhat recently renovated, but it could definitely use some additional touches that would have made the stay a bit more comfortable (itchy sheets, thin towels, really bad lighting). The biggest issue with this hotel is the noise. The walls are very thin, and it's surrounded by a busy road and a driveway that services multiple housing complexes, so you constantly hear traffic. Moreover, there are only hard surfaces in the room (no carpet, drapes, etc), so there's nothing to absorb or buffer the sound. That said, the pool was very clean, and it was nice that the hotel provided toys. This was fine for one night or if you're in a pinch, but I would be more than happy to spend a few extra dollars for peace and quiet and more creature comforts.

Super close to the boardwalk. I love it because it was pet friendly & I was able to have my husky with me. Walking distance to the boardwalk. There’s a super cute local coffee shop in walking distance as well. Check-in was easy. My room wasn’t actually available & the front desk gave me an accessible room which provided more room for my dog so it worked out well! Plenty of parking spaces too. The room was clean.

The room had issues that needed to be addressed such as the bathroom door didn’t open all the way it would get caught on the floor. The bathroom had a splat of paint on the wall that was a different color. Faucet when turned on sounded like someone was changing tires with a torque gun. The front door was not easy to close you had to use a lot of force. The best part was the bed, it was soooo comfortable.

The staff was run by some 20-30 something year old men that used it as their personal party spot. When we needed help around 7-8pm, they saw us from outside ring the reception desk bell multiple times and never came inside. The room looked renovated at first, but was really falling apart. They patched holes with plastic coverings, trim pieces coming up off the floor and the shower leaked all over the bathroom due to the door seals not being installed properly. Loud with constant slamming doors and the room was tiny for two full beds. The locals were hanging around and wasn’t in the best area of Santa Cruz. Would NOT recommend. The photos make it look far nicer than it actually is.

The front desk man was so nice checking us in , he offered us free coffee or drinks that were available , the hotel was clean ,and the pool was clean and very nice ! the room was clean ! some of the fairest prices around We were able to see the lights of Santa Cruz beach board walk too ❤️❤️
